@antsdick Sorry mate but you do indeed have it wrong. Marion Jones did run in 2000, that was her big Olympics. At the time she won no less than five medals, three of them gold medals. All those medals have now been stripped from her. All her results, in fact, from 15 September 2000 onwards have been cancelled. She did run the 200 metres and won it by a long way. She did not run the 400 metres; she isn't a 400 metre specialist. Yes her husband at the time was busted for drugs (CJ Hunter).

I don't think they should have stripped her for her medals, history is history oh well what difference does it make. She had faster times when she wasnt using it, she probably would have still won, but cheaters are cheaters, such great talent before.

@raoulhery That's right, her drugs were always undetected. She never failed a drug test. Not once. That's why they called her substance "the clear", because it was very difficult to detect in testing. But that doesn't change the fact that she did take them and she was using a banned substance when she won five medals at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, three of them gold.

HELLO!!!!! for at least the last 25 years you cannot compete on the highest level and be clean. every body knows it but turns a blind eye, until somebody gets caught then we all point and scream cheater. she was a great and talented atlete and just got caught with her pants down. but I'm 100% sure that all the others in that race were just as shotup as she was. thats the difference between being a medalist and not making the prelimanarys. I'm not saying its right but it is the reality of sports.
