thank you for posting this. I myself am Cherokee and African Amer. so i kind know what its like, but I'm greatful my mom showed me what she knew about our people both Cherokee and African Amer.
This is my favorite Walela song. I love everything about it. Thanks for posting, and thanks for the lyrics. But the sound quality could be better. It sounds like you recorded it through the microphone?
Thank You, he is a true artist that takes a simple and plain photo of your choice and makes these kinds of creations, I love his work and wish I could have one made of myself...
Lovely video. Only found it because I was looking for the art of Henri Peter which I found on another channel and which is brilliant. Now I've started looking for music by Walela. Thanks for the enlightenment.
It's okay Rita, as long as we accept the blood that flows through our veins and be proud of our heritage, what ever it may be... Thanks for stopping by my sister, come back again...
Beautifull , i love the art work , it is brave and bold too reflect the people , many thanks for the share my friend Cursedbaby21 , fav this one XD Cathy
This song tells of my ancestry on my mothers side. The Jesus people did not know that what theye called savages were actualy one of the lost Tribes of Israel.
Our Native history has been stripped from all Nations, we must try and save as much of it as possible and help our younger generation to learn and become the teachers of the future, so that we can survive what we all have been through and still go through...
My Sister Oletha, thank you and know that I love you also... I have been so busy, I have many messages to answer, I am sorry for getting behind... :0)
Music by "Walela" ~ Song: "I have no indian name" - You should be able to buy the CD or Tape at most "Native" merchandise stores that sell our music... Good Luck in your search, :0)

Diana Shining Star*, what a beautiful name. We have to try to have a happy spirit. Your video's are wonderful and I am enjoying them very much. Our culture is beautiful, isn't it? It is good to visit with you my sister and my friend. Take care of u!
Your words are kind. Yes we all have to work at having our happy sprits, some days being harder than others. Especially the day I lost my best friend and soulmate. But he suffers no more, his spirit is free. I am pleased that you have enjoyed my videos, our culture is very beautiful. I can listen to them all day long... It pleases me when I see my people coming home to thier heritage and seeking knowledge... Our elders are still the best teachers... :0)
Thanks for those links they are great,so many things to learn, but I guess I have to really meet a Native American to learn more,is there a legal procedure for students from overseas to come as an exchange student to live in Native American town or smth, like homestay culture exchange program?if yes I am really interested and plz send me links :) thnx alot for the links Ms Shining Star
Here are some links to help you learn more of the Native Heritage. I would suggest that if you wish to be an exchange student in a Native American or even possibly a Canadian Native home, you need to get on the internet and check out what is available, I have no ideas of where to begin, I tried to send links and it won't let me do it again, sorry. Type into your browser: Exchange Students in Native American Homes - and you will get links and a lot of history... Good Luck
U.N.I.T.Y. is going to Oklahoma this summer of 2007. Natives from all over the nation will be there with their tribe. Come meet new people, share your culture. Their will be entertainment; food and dances. Their will also be workshops for college and health...Last year UNITY went to Buffalo, NY, and it was fun. Research some more about it. See you there!
Hello my friend, and thank you for sharing this information with me... I love to attend any and all functions like this and take my family, It sounds like it will be very stimulating... Much peace, health and happiness are wished you, Be safe in your travels to and from... :0)
The song (I have no Indian Name) is done by the fantastic "Walela" and one of my many favorite native singing groups... I am happy you enjoyed the beautiful art by Henri Peter, he is one of the best at what he does and deserves recognition... Have a great week and come back again... :0)
nice clips, just a question, does Native Americans believe that East Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Koreans), Pacific Islanders (Ryukyus, Taiwan-Minanese, Maoris, Fijians, New Guineans etc...) or Aboriginals or Austronesians (Melayus, Indonesians..etc) share the same ancestry way back 10k or more years ago?
Personally? The point is,it will be cool to share our heritage and long long time ago we might share the same blood, maybe our ancestors were together for a while and some of them left to America a great migration, some stayed in East Asia, or maybe the other way around some came to East Asia and some stayed in America.becoz there is so many similiarities, not only physical looks but the culture etc.I dunno sometimes I just wonder. anyway thnx Shining Star for ur sharing its inspiring
And a good point, I agree with you and feel there is so much more to the "Native Heritage" and all other heritages from the entire world around us... You and I may net be here when and if those questions ever get answered, but I believe we may be a lot closer to hearing some facts... Have a great evening and thanks for coming back my friend... :0)
多谢(many thanks),I need to break the barriers that stopped me from not being connected to the world. Need to be in twine (did I used it rite? LOL)with my spirit, saw the article that East Asians might have close blood relations(genetics)with native americans,so that makes us cousins?do u kno the urge to find ur root n try to find relatives like cousins to strengthen ur search of heritage?anyway thnxCougar:)
How have you been? I believe what you were trying to say is you (need to be in tune) with your spirit. We all need to stay in tune with our spirits, one anothers spirits and with mother earth. So we may be cousins? I see you have been doing your homework, lol. I hope some of those links I shared with you helped? Our heritage is amazing and travels in many directions. It was good to hear from you again, Have a great week and take care.
just a minor question, does most Native American tribes believe they share the same ancestry 10k or more centuries ago with East Asians or Pacific Islanders or Pacific Aboriginals? btw those pictures are captivating, maybe you can show a link of site of gallery for these piece?
