Is this the final or last installation of the VP series? Because it will be a shame, I really like this game a lot than Final Fantasy, though FF is also good but it is just too much. I like the FF8 because it is somehow realistic and don't have those weird over the top costume or clothes.

They're just not as pretty on the DS. You can tell they tried but the DS just doesn't have the graphic capabilities to hold in Valkyrie Profile's coolness.

It depends on how often you used the plume before chapter 4.

To get him, use the plume twice in the entire game until chapter 4. (Ancel doesn't count)

If you've got Fauxnel, don't use the plume, and you'll get the A ending. After that, It all depends on the choice you make after you get lockswell and cheripha. There's three places you can go to, and the place you go to determines who lives and dies for chapter 2.

Nah. Lezard probably hasn't been born yet.

CotP takes place some 20 or 30 years before the events of VP1, but after the events of VP2, minus all the weirdness caused by time travel. Brahms has Silmeria captured. Lenneth hasn't had her memories wiped out yet.

As for Arngrim, he tends to just show up whenever. I think this game mentions that he reincarnates every time the world faces destruction or something.

Wylfred's can do surprisingly high amounts of damage, mainly because he does a massive number of hits. Even though each individual hit seems weak, it builds up to a lot.

Those are battles in the Seraphic Gate, the game's extra dungeon. You don't collect Sin in there because it's off the main story.

In the first two Valkyrie Profile games he plays a part in the main story. I guess they brought him back as a secret character here.

I like most of the Soul Crushes; but I found quite a few of them are recycled from other notable characters. The second soul crush and character in the video looks very similar to a certain big bladed strong man from Valkyrie Profile 1 even down to the Soul Crush. He might as well had said Finality Blaster instead of Sonic Razzle; it's basically the same thing.

I'm glad that they are bringing back the Blade Art and Deathblow Soul Crushes from Valkyrie Profile 1 (The twins use Blade Art since they don't say Ougi or Shingi before launching the attack; neither does Auguste for that matter and I think it's Deathblow since he is clearly barefisted during the Soul Crush). I guess the Ether Strike is quite odd; but it might be due to using way too many bright colors for it to be healthy. I guess they felt all white would cause seizures. No shock there.

Nintendo Power Magazine did an article on Valkyrie Profile and one of the screen shots (which were in English) that would show Over Attack in the Japanese version on the HP bar now says Overkill. It also had the English name for several characters: Wylfred, Darius, Ailyth (Hel's servant), Cheripha (female archeress who yells Chinese Wrecker or something in Japanese as her Soul Crush)

It strikes my as a little odd to change Over Attack to Overkill. In both prior VPs Over Attack was not changed during localization, I don't see the point in doing that now.

The only thing I can see is the localizer felt that Over Attack was either silly to begin with (it's like trying to yell Secret Skill or Divine Techinque and NOT sound like a dork even if the translation is accurate); or they wanted to play into the permenent death angle this game has. Almost missed Ushio's name in the article.

I have not seen any shots yet on if that would be changed or not; but Nintendo Power said that it might be called Sin Quota. It might refer to the amount of Karma need to please Queen Hel; but I'm not 100% sure. Nintendo Power so far is the only source that has English shots from what I am aware of.

Icicle Grave is Icy Grave now. Tyrantial Blade is Blade of Terror. There is a battle video in English with the English voices; but I didn't do a check on the voice acting quality yet.
