Twitter isn't how you make it out to be, it is a very good source of free advertising and a good means of communication between people.

Try and draw the line between people who overuse twitter for the wrong reasons and the people who use it to benefit themselves.

If i want to contact a dozen friends, i will use twitter like an electronic conference,

if i want to get my youtube channel noticed i will use twitter as my fee advertising

If you search "Shakespeare" you can find everything from a play being presented in a grocery store, to the latest theory that a Jewish woman wrote some of his plays, to updates on events at his birthplace, to The Tempest read by Ian McKellen . . . what are you looking for?

That was so very well done. I didn't realize that twitter had gotten to the stage where it worth searching. I thought it was more status update or lj blogstyle.

The example shown using a movie search in google didn't turn up the results I normally get. The first thing I get when searching a movie title is a list of shown times of local theatres and then further links to other movies showing and reviews.

I really don't think Twitter and Google compare well. Google is a search engine that brings you information on subjects, whereas Twitter is a social engine that can bring you information on people. As I really couldn't care less about 99.9999985% of the people on the planet (I did the math), and of those people, most don't use Twitter, it really is useless to me. Google, on the other hand, brings be relevant information I need, so is far superior.
