@DeoDewHD You may want to try setting your oven on a lower temperature or cooking it for a little less time. That should work.

@meitylam1998 The white cake that I used is from a box and I just followed the directions according the box-easy peasy :) . If you don't want to use a box cake mix, you might find a great recipe on the net, just type in white cake recipe.

@cooliemomoyoyo You can use both. The gel dyes will give you a more vivid color, whereas the liquid will be a little bit more pastel or faded. Both will work just fine.
