That thing has got to be stroked or your running a serious aftermarket block!! Stock block LT1/LT4's DONT rev that high, not even 383's. Probably a 396. That cam is just disgustingly awesome sounding, with what sounds like LT headers as well. Why not go Turbo?

It is a Trans Am, that's why it says Trans Am in the title. Mine does still have the badges, but a lot of people take the door badges and side moldings off for a cleaner look. Just because you see a TA without the badges doesn't mean it's not a TA.

got a 1994 trans am. it's stock except for a magnaflow catback and some custom rims (which happen to be ZO6 rims). It actually lost to a Trailblazer SS a few months ago. Hopin to put something else on it to give a little more kick.

Yeah the only reason i asked is because the Z06 Naturally comes with i think its an 18/19 stagger, thats all, I have a 95 Trans am I have a built street trans in it ported intake manifold, BBk TB, custom exhaust work, dual electric cutouts, on each header, Pacesetter Full length Headers, relocated battery and new alternator and starter, and a set of Zex Triple fire Spark Plugs. Thats pretty much it for now.

Yeah its alright, can't say much right now but when i get back from Iraq I'm going to get it tuned, Next thing on the To do List is my fuel system so when i go to do heads, cams, and valve train, I have the fuel to support it. But i have to save so i can do it all at once, so I'm not in and out of the shop, I'm definitely considering Pro charging it too, but one step at a time i suppose. Plus not sure which way i'm going with it yet, Road course, or Drag, so holding off on the suspension.

You don't know what you're talking about. In 96 and 97 they produced both Formula and Trans Am WS6. Both were LT1 powered and were never produced with a LS1 until 98.

It's holding up good. I can't believe it. It's the original one with 119k on it now, and has been running 12.30s or faster since 103k. It has a TransGo HD-2 shift kit, a Summit deep pan, a good cooler, and a Fuddle 3400 stall. I have a stock LS1 car now so I may go a little more agressive with the new stall on this car. Somewhere in the 3600-4000 range and it will be a Yank converter.

Thanks! I did actually go to a much smaller cam from Advanced Induction. It is their off the shelf 226/234 cam. The car has better street manners, is better on fuel, and runs 12.0s. The tune is not good and the converter isn't either. It should be mid-high 11s when tuned and converter changed.

You're running 12.30 in the 1/4th? Is that a cam only car? Because thats pretty slow if you ask me, buddy. Maybe you should reconsider your philosophy on chassis dynos, the numbers may only be good for so much, but the tuning options they offer are priceless.

Yeah it was slow for what it was. It had a few issues though too. Misfire at high rpm, stuttering before shifts, running out of gear roughly 150-200ft before the traps unless you let it shift into OD, etc. I fixed the misfire and went from 4.10s to 3.42s and was running 7.50s in the 1/8. Later I went to a smaller duration cam with more lift. This vid was my first setup ever. Learned a lot

There were no "Formula " Firebirds that were V-6's in 1994. I have an LT-1 V-8 I know it is the cam that makes it lope, I was just curious what cam he was running. That is why I asked for the lift, duration and lobe center. Those are all things that a custom grind cam uses. I have already built my heads up. New race springs, Match Port and polish, Titanium valves and keepers,etc. I just wanted to know the cam grind and exhaust he was running.
