Maybe you were running off sheer adrenaline. Plus they are two very different energy systems. Also, it kinda shows you were in the form of your life. At 20 you can kinda do anything, you're still a teenager, essentially, with all the strength and muscle and testosterone.

The greatest male sprinter to never win an olympic gold medal, four indivudal sprint medals, all were silvers and many earned behind WR and gold medals from other performers.
