@hetead A long time ago the social elite saw that religion was a good thing. This was how some of the very first communities were formed. I read the bible and it contains a lot of the things we now know as acceptable social rules and laws. However you have to accept that these things are rules and laws because they are inherently good not because they are from the bible. Also I'd like to put a question out there: "why isn't the New year on Jezus's birthday or the day he died?"

@hetead There's actually new evidence that doesn't support the big bang theory. You see the universe is expanding at an increased rate. Which is highly unusual for an explosion as usually the father the blast wave goes the slower it gets. Leading scientists to believe that the universe very possibly doesn't have a beginning. But this is a great example of theist attempting to explain scientific theories with faith when in reality they don't have a clue as to what they're talking about.

The images are actually contrasting Jesus against the forces of evil (Osama Bin Laden, radical Islam) and negativism (George Carlin, Carl Sagan, atheists in general). Notice how unflattering the pictures of Carlin, Sagan and Bin Laden are, compared to the compassionate and wholesome pictures of Christ. I had no idea that The Doobie Brothers were that religious, and this is refreshing to see compared to the hedonists that dominate the music of today.
