Food is like music. We can love the commercial hits, the indie bands, the innovaters that say Fuck You to convention and make their own way. But there is something about classics like Beethoven. It shouldn't be about sticking it to the man or going against convention. It should just be about doing what you do best, what you love, and being happy with it.

That host forgot to mention (intentionally) how rude the mo fo waitress are in Paris and how arrogant are chefs, and MOSTLY the food sucks and is very expensive, there are 8 cafe per block and 7 of them serve cold bread with a lettuce an some ham, at 7 euros. The city is beautiful but dont expect me to leave my money there anytime soon cause is an atmosphere of bad humour there..

@MartiniandCigarettes thanks for the empathy! Actually was not that bad but sometimes your expectations betray you somehow. Also a good analogy, about the mistress, and I know literature and many people can support that, but at brief moments I felt like being into an S and M relationship being me the submissive one. Still worth the trip and most likely I will be coming back (again) to Paris sometime in the far future.

@MartiniandCigarettes yeah they can suck but you got to live there to understand their attitude, not that it's an excuse. I should know as I'm French and from Versaille. I recommend to people they check out better and cheaper places in France like Lille and the region of Brittany. If you go by the German/Swiss border; it's amazing and a lot cheaper too.

French are the best. we all know it, but we are all afraid it will sound cliche to say it, lol.

Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Italians are ridiculously good. I will probably chose past or pizza over a French meal, but I will always have a distant respect toward the French cuisine.
