  • Can you give a good source for the paint you used? Will it also work on vinyl (roll-up) type screens without cracking the surface?

  • Colored curtains? Are u kidding. Why not buy screen that retract if this stuff can't be painted with no border, fabric or an actual depth producing acrylic SCREEN???!!! This Goo defeats the purpose it was originally intended for

  • @sawink Umm, This is NOT goo... This is acrylic silver and it keeps light polarization so I can use the screen for 3D. Also, blocking off all light is neither required, not wanted in my case. I don' t plan on just sitting in watching movies all day. I'd like the flat to look like a person lives there too...

  • I use Liquitex Silver acrylic and it is very hard to work with, but gives good preservation of polarity. Prime your board (I use MDF) with white primer first and sand down smooth. Repeat. The actual silver painting is best done with a very fine haired roller in a cold room. Acrylics set slower in cold so you get a smoother finish. I find almost dry rolling gives finest grain but it is also the hardest way to get no stripes.

  • how do you make grain? I have a big 140' screen, and it would be cool to have this high quality on it
