It'd be really awesome to see where you are in your musical journey. I started violin and viola in 7th grade, eventually picking up trombone, bassoon, and chorus. Now I have a Bachelor degree in music composition. Two things you need. One, passion/dedication. Music is for the soul, and a social event. Second, the magical swear word, practice. Not saying practice 4 to 8 hours everyday, but practice efficiently. Some people can accomplish 6 hours of practice in 1.5 to 2 hours.
