Have you ever consider to make collective pitch quadcopter? It will probaly very bad concerning power/weight ratio, also bigger and more dangerous to play with. But any thoughts how much precision will it provide or not? Does it worth, I mean, to put that effort?

@kargidesign or what about two motors on each arm, one for upwards push one for downwards push?

If you take a look closer, it only turns to the side where there is some kind of ball there..

Seems like it helps to make that side weigh more when it doing flips.

@gonzo110391 That's one of the retroreflective balls used to track the vehicle :-). Yes, it does shift the weight of the quadrotor a bit (and, more than that, affects the thrust of the neighboring rotors) but in the end it's effect is neutral for flips. Even if it had a greater effect, think about it: it helps a quadrotor begin a flip but it actually hurts it when it tries to stop rotating.
