Actually Boomer is very a very good character if you fully power up his ground pound attack and when you do it the enemies that are close enough to the ground pound will be stunned for a bit and you can attack and once they are not stunned just rinse and repeat.

Fun fact: In the main area, there's a kid running around who has a special response for different skylanders when you talk to him. When Boomer talks to him, the kid says "Um...my mom says I'm not supposed to play with you"
