This vest is a piece of shit, 4 mag pouches? The fuck is that shit. Grenade pouches that don't even fit the M67? My first one lasted me about 3 months of easy use. PIECE OF SHIT.
theres a funy thing in the front of the vest on top of the flap covering the zipper thats abayonet hoder for the sheath and knife and if the vest dosent carry enough ammo the y desined for the army where they arn't a crappy shot and don't wast ammo so theres lots of room for mags( if your not a shitty shot)
We dont have the tac vest anymore...well the infantry doesnt. we just got chest rigs in from tactical tailor. The tac vest was made by wog's for wog's
This vest is perfect for troops in the reserves (such as myself) where we need not carry more than water and five mags. But for combat arms troops overseas this vest can't cut it.

@241arrowhead Yeah but wearing that with your frag vest with plates kinda evens it out. I never had any problems. Also, wearing a ruck or daypack also balances out the weight even more. I usually had a full camelpack on my back in the desert, so the weight on the front didn't bother me at all...

It was introduced in the early 2000s as a repalcement for Webbing and will soon with in the next 5 years begin to be phased out of service for Modular webbing. Currently there are procurment processes going on to find the Interm Load Carrying System. Or you can do what I did, buy one.
The majority of people I've spoken to in the CF, have all said they disliked the lack of mag pouches and that the vest is a over all flawed design. Personally, just from airsofting, I find it works rather well.

Admin Pouches, Pouches on your left side so your right hand never leaves the trigger, frag pouches, utility pouches. I would say MOLLE over all wins. I have the Tac Vest to complete my CF load out. Same way, I'm creating a C8 rifle.
@EddieUV777 lmao buddy playin pretend soldier is 100,000,000% different than the real deal. your reviews dont mean nothin till you've been in a warzone with this vest on. If you want my opinion the US military is doin sumthin right with the molle system who the fuck cares for the price of the pouches its what makes u more of an effective soldier matters in the end.
@RickJamesBiaach agreed, the tac vest is a piece of crap, it has a very low ammo carrying capacity, and the grenade pouches are to small, u can get a grenade in there but u cant get it out, we used to joke of how we would just pull the pin and throw the vest. I really hope we adopt something like the molle system

the little pouch on the vest isnt a pistol mag pouch, its a pouch designed to hold a mini maglight flashlight.
