I dig the coil over shock front end. My 60 F100 still running leaf spring I beam and drives like the 50 year old truck she is I still love her though. Nice work man.
nice! I just inherited a 55 like yours and I don't even know where to start on the resto. It's gonna be a good project. How would a 350 stack up against a 327???
The possibilities are endless with any chevy small block.
If you have the knowhow to repair rust spots.. just make sure to do it right and take the cab and bed all the way off the truck and do a frame up restore. Or not, it's your rig!
I've got a 56 chev just like yours but mines white and green and still in restoration. Its got the wrap around window in the back. Its got the same front like yours without the bumper, just the bodies shaped like a bumper. I like the look of yours, its like gangter or badass haha
Funny you sould ask that, because i haven't finished the bed myself yet, but instead of using something ugly like plywood, or something waaaay expensive like oak, you sould look into laminate hardwood flooring, some of the stuff out there is fairly durable and relativly inexpensive
very nice interior!

Nice truck. I'm currently building a '56, but far from completion. Any tips on building the bed? Video Clips on assembly?

no, not yet, there's ton of work that i need to do. Basically what you see here is the 'hurry up i want to drive it' job that i did last spring.
Crispywinkles 3 years ago
This is a sweet truck! I just purchased a 55 big window that needs lots of work so your video is certainly motivation. Nice job.

Thanks, it takes lots of work, but i like to think that it is worth it in the end.
