people are in delusions!!!! they think GODS HEALING THE SAME WAY WHEN CHRIST WALK THE EARTH. Lets buy some more healing books all listen to more confess your healing service. but no one can produce a miracle only write a book how to get healed.when jesus wants to heal we get healed instantly free easy you dont have to try try and try all these teachings that dont work
What about Mark 16:15-18, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
@Imamaltese1 well these people are the people that have that faith that Christ taught us to have, God through Christ has already given us the power to do these miracles and more, it just depends if way say to someone going through pain "Oh, you can get better if God wants you too" but instead saying "Hey, the blood of Christ has already healed you, Christ was on the cross, thinking about you, he shed his blood so that you wouldn't have this pain so now it's gone in Jesus name"
I loved the example he gave of Timothy needing to take some wine for his stomach problem instead of BAM! Healed! It just goes to say, God can heal and do other amazing miracles, sometimes He does, we can ask and should Him for it, but if He chooses not to, it doesn't necessarily mean we did anything wrong. God knows what He's doing! He is amazing.
I've seen my fair share of miracles in missions. And they weren't in an overglamourized crusade. They were real people, who needed to be prayed for. When I go back, I'd really like to talk to them again to see which people that I prayed for are still good. But I have plenty of faith in it. Because I saw people who at first that couldn't see, or couldn't bend over, or could barely touch their toe to the ground, who a month later were still fine. However, that being said, healings aren't evrything
@ttty2t1j3 Paul said it best, in the end tongues will cease, healings will cease, prophecy will cease, and all that will remain is faith, hope, and love. And when we are in heaven before our glorious creator, the only thing that will truly matter is the love that we had for others, and the love that we displayed for others. Healings aren't even anything glorious, because there is nothing a person can truly do to heal someone, just pray. God does the rest.
I love Jesus..i havent seen ONE miracle from those who claim healing happens all the time!..all they show is the foot growing illusion!... And all the people I look into who claim to heal are ALL liars...so lets see it people..videos?...where is it?
@I21GenieLee amen the church is in delusions baby christians that staw babies dont grow. i thought god was healing but after years i began to realize i never saw a real miracle benny hym was investigated for2 years and not one miracle was found. but i have seen angels balls of fire appear when i pray i think there angels if not what is it anyone know
Of course those miracles happen in "cutting edge mission settings" aka the developing world more often...there are more ignorant, uneducated people who can be convinced of supernatural "miracles" in those places. It's funny how miracles never happen in front of CNN's cameras. Or in front of a hundred students in an auditorium at Harvard. They almost never happen in front of people who don't already believe in the supernatural - nobody finds that suspicious?
Me friends sister went on an evangelistion trip through sweden and her legs got strained out. Her leg grew 3 cm, like wow.. I myself had a injurgy from when I was 6, I broke my enkel and since then I couldn't move it sideways. This year, more than 13 years later, my foot got healed, I can move it! so.. God of miracles is still here!
What a lying bozo. Sounds like tabloid article bull shit . Miracles only take place where they can not be documented. Then the rest is just stuff in the Bible. If you talk about extraordinary events, before you flap your jaws you need at least some proof by an independent source. None if these so called miracles when investigated where shown to be a sham. Saying I saw God is only proof to you. If you clam something it requires proof until then its only opinion. Piper is just a fraud.
@otherworld11 Because no evidence means no proof. You can clam what ever you but you will need proof to prove your case, not just hear say. No miracle have been substantiated if they are true people would not need a doctor, just this bald headed preacher telling them that a amputated leg will grow back in a few weeks.
@otherworld11 Well your wrong. I just need proof or you must be lair. A false teacher not doing Gods work but fleecing the people to make money. Which is what most traveling preachers are today.
@yeudh You gotta hear His voice, man. He could feed a multitude right before your eyes but if your heart is hardened by sin, you'd rationalize the miracle. Jesus is alive. Ask him to reveal himself to you. He'll honor that prayer every time. Knowing Him is the miracle.
@otherworld11 Well if you any proof that the universe and earth was created in 6-24 hour days, that a 500 year old man built an ark and every creature was on it, and the world was destroyed by a flood. That millions of Jews escaped from Egypt but they forgot the pharaoh name. If you buy this pack if lies that have been proven to false, You will believe anything. My heart has noting with my thinking it is a organ that pumps blood. No medical evidence that a heart is used in reasoning.
@yeudh The light came but men preferred darkness (John 3:19-21). Sin has obviously gotten the best of you for now, but you can come to your senses and follow Christ. You have until your last breath to repent, after that, however, God will banish you to hell for rejecting His son. Please don't go that route. Serving Christ is the very best thing that life has to offer. Instead of mocking Christianity, why don't you find a good spirit-filled church and get to know some people there?
@otherworld11 I would suggest that you get out of cult of bazaar rituals, secret words and hand shakes. Free yourself from this self deprecating obsession with sin you have. I welcome to the 21st century get out of the 17th century and away your wizard and soothsayers saying magic words to a magic man. You must question every word these wizards say from the magic book and when they are lying you call them out and show the errors that they propagate. I do and the wizards have no retort.
@yeudh You need to repent, my friend. Jesus has seen you at your worst but still loves you. He's not pleased by sin but he's not surprised, either. NEVER FORGET that you can turn to Christ. Don't leave this life without asking him to forgive you, and committing with all your heart to follow Him.
@otherworld11 I can not have a relevant debate with a 17th century intellect. You can not address lack of facts found in the bible. This double talk about repent is not addressing the lack proof about bible miracles.Your inability to address the issue is what all theist have to do when asked questions about Biblical miracles, change the subject. It is not my position that a have to defend what you can not understand. If you are clueless on the subject just say so, stay on subject.
@yeudh Jesus performed many miracles and still performs miracles today. One good source of information would be 700 Club. They've witnessed and recorded many miracles for years now. You act like you're God. You seem to know everything that happens everywhere. You use this objection as a smoke screen to the larger issue of your sin. That's the hard part. You're a sinner but you don't want to admit it. Repentance is a painful process that most folks avoid and that's what condemns people to hell.
I experienced a modern day miracle. I used to smoke almost 2 packs of ciggs a day and they had a stronghold on me and i smoked them for about 28 years. One night in my tv room i got a call from a buddy who was training to become a EMT and he told me he saw what lungs look like after years of smoking. I had a cigg in my mouth when he was talking. After i hung up i asked GOD to pls release me from bondage, and i lie not...when i woke up the next morn i had no desire for them. That was 7 years ago.
@candiceevans1 I'm not the one posting videos claiming miracles are real. I am simply calling this video's bluff. I don't believe things because other people have 'personal experiences'. If I had a personal experience with an invisible dragon, would you then believe in invisible dragons?
Here is a good example of why I disagree. There was a woman in my church with a bad Migrane headache. She had another christian in our pray for her, and nothing happened. I waited till they were done, then I went to that woman and asked her if I could pray over her. She let me. When I prayed, she felt hot heat go from the top of her head, all the way down to her back. And she was completely healed, instantly. The point is, it does matter where a person prays from, either from pitty or from faith
Where did the bible ever say that God has not ordained the same inensity of supernatural power was intended for the entire church? I think that is just simply an excuse to justify the church's unbelief, specifically in the west.. In the western church we have doctors and insurance so we don't need God to heal our child, Christians in other countries have no choice but to believe God to heal their child. It is simply a matter of faith, like the woman who grabbed Jesus' cloak.
@simcult Miracles that are done by God is not for human entertainment, God does them for His glory, so the very question that you asked is asked with a motive, in the bible Satan asked Jesus the same question by asking him to turn stones into bread Matt 4:3 and later Jesus answered him with Matt4:7 saying that you shall not put God to the test. So, like Satan, even if you saw something happen you will find a way to explain it away because you hate God and you do not want him (Rom 3:11)
@mariuspieter 1) You still haven't answered my question. All you have done is parrot the insidious notion that we are unable to question your fanciful claims - that's simply a form of control and I don't fall into that trap as easily as you have.
2) How can I hate something that cannot be demonstrated to be true. That's impossible. Unicorns are not real.. they cannot be demonstrated (I hope we agree on that) so do you hate unicorns?
@simcult If parroting the bible (which is the ultimate authority) is offensive to you then so be it, questioning it is your decision, however you assume that the only demonstration of something being real is through documented evidence. So if people have written thousands of books on their relationship with God, and more particular Jesus Christ, then those testimonies can't be counted as evidence, because it doesn't fall under ALL the categories of the scientific method, not really fair
@mariuspieter 1) You need to demonstrate the bible is the 'ultimate authority'. Just because a book (or a person) says it is, does not mean it is a fact.
2) Yes I use evidence to determine my beliefs, the weaker the evidence the less likely I am to accept it. I find this a simple way to get close to truth
3) There's thousand of documented testimonies (which you call evidence) of UFO abductions. I don't believe UFO's have visited us, but by your logic, you must believe they have.
@simcult I really can't demonstrate it here, too little space, google those things if you want a full blooded argument on the matter or references to good books about the matter. What do you do with things that you don't have evidence for, or that cannot be explained by science? Seriously, you are going to compare UFO "testimonies" to full documented scholarly articles with full explanations and references, in the Philosophical world they call that a straw-man argument.
@mariuspieter 1) No, I don't believe you can't demonstrate it; you've had thousands of years to do that, and it hasn't happened.
2) Yes, I am going to compare UFO "testimonies" when the only refutation you have for me is the supposed "authority" of "scholars" - I need more than authority to convince me, don't you?
@simcult And please, this is a discussion not an argument, in an argument you prove something, I can't prove God using your framework for looking at the universe, because there are things you will just bluntly dismiss, you can't prove to me that I am wrong about what I said because you have insufficient evidence to convince me that God does not exist. So there is no refutation here, more a discussion to think about things you don't want to think about.
@mariuspieter Hint: you can't prove something does 'not' exist. I can't prove invisible pink unicorns do not exist. This does not mean unicorns are real. The onus is always on the claimant to provide evidence. You (and this youtube video) claim miracles happen, I will remain UNCONVINCED until this can be demonstrated. Just as I remain unconvinced there are invisible pink unicorns, until they can be demonstrated.
@simcult On the same count you could try demonstrating that atheism is the best way to explain everything that happens in this universe, and I bet you will come up short too, so I don't think it is fair to ask me to do so within the limitations of youtube posts
@mariuspieter There is ONE thing Atheism explains - a lack of belief in god(s) - that's it, PERIOD. It does not explain the universe, it does not explain how we got here. It does not require a belief in evolution, it does not require a belief in the big bang. So you can forget about attempting to find 'holes' in Atheism to support your argument - and even if you could find holes, it still wouldn't help your case for a creator.
@simcult Ok, here's what I will do, I will pray that you see God at work, because trying to provide evidence that has no relation to the identity of God is kinda pointless and would not do Him justice and does not exist. Here's the thing you have a paradigm of reason and evidence through which you see the world around you, I have Jesus Christ added to that list and everything that surrounds that, some things are spiritual, so using material evidence is not going to prove them, you see the logic?
@mariuspieter I agree, I use reason and evidence to determine my beliefs, not superstitions, stories, and 'personal experiences'. Thanks for praying for me, the sentiment is nice, however I use the same reasoning with prayer - it has been demonstrated over and over again not to have any affect... on anything. When you say 'some things are spiritual' I think you are again regressing to superstitions - nothing supernatural has ever, EVER been demonstrated to exist - there is no logic here.
@simcult That's just because you choose to ignore the testimonies of Christian people that you say that. You have no evidence to make some of the claims you make, it's funny how you throw the evidence card around when it suites you.
@mariuspieter I don't ignore it - I just don't believe it. Just like you don't believe the testimonies of thousands of people each year who claim they have been abducted by UFO's - oh and by the way you can actually TALK to the people who claim they have been abducted by UFO's to determine if their testimonies have any credibility, unlike your so called 'eye witnesses'.... who lived thousands of years ago...in a desert... surrounded by superstitious barbarians.
@simcult The UFO's again, ok well I think we are done, I would encourage you to ask God to show Himself to you and I will pray that he does, I really hope you cultivate broader ways of seeing this world and the one beyond than just evidence and reason only.
@mariuspieter Umm okay, I'll use evidence and reason to determine what I believe and you use, well... whatever it is that you happen use, good luck to you.
@simcult Like you don't know what I believe, I stated it word for word, why is it that even though you don't have the answers to explain how this universe came to be, you mock me for believing the best argument for it yet. Sure we don't have scientific method tested evidence yet, but since you don't know either, why do atheists find us laughable, seriously a creator vs a pool of stuff that got miraculously infused by energy that one does not know the origin of since energy can't create itself?
@mariuspieter I didn't mock what you believe - only the methods by which you get TO your beliefs. I WILL mock unreasonable methods for determining beliefs, wouldn't you? If someone said they had a magic invisible dragon in their basement because a book told them so (aside from thinking they are insane) wouldn't you mock them? 2) Why bring science into the argument ? We're talking about miracles here - science has not demonstrated, or claimed the existence of a miracle.. ever...
@simcult In that case, I don't agree with the methods you use to know whether miracles exist or not either, you see you don't even try to see that if you don't experience it that does not mean that other people don't. The very basis of miracles are that they are not explainable with evidence, yet that is exactly what you try to do or suggest doing. So yes, your methodology doesn't make sense, and it's not like I am completely throwing out science I just don't ONLY look at science.
@mariuspieter 1) Amuse me, what method can you possibly use (other than science and reason) to determine whether miracles exist? 2) Again - put yourself in my shoes - if other people have personal experiences with invisible unicorns, that's not sufficient evidence for me to believe it - same with your God. Do you know there are many religions all over the world who have 'personal experiences' with their flavor of religion - do your believe all those people (and the miracles they assert) as well?
@mariuspieter Lets make it simple. Miracles either happen or don't happen - that's a statement of FACT. So then, very simple question, here it comes... what do you use OTHER THAN science and reason to determine fact?
@simcult Talking with a condescending tone does not give you more credibility, to answer your question, experience, what you experience with your 5 senses. Some things that you experience over a period of time and repetitively. What is the point of asking me this though, if you mean truth by fact then experience is my response, but even the FACTS are misleading on so many facets in life, the media is one of the prime examples of this.
@simcult The science that I do agree with is the science that actually analyzes what can be analyzed through science. The problem in most cases as I have found is that atheism and science are quite far removed, slander and atheism are closer to one another, since that is all I get conclusively from atheists
@simcult IF there is no god, and we live completely in a materialistic, naturalistic universe, with nothing immaterial, and no immaterial force keeping anything consistent-this includes LOGIC, REASONING, an MORALITY. Without a god, all of these things become subjective, man made, and therefore completely up to ones assumptions. Would you deem Christianity logical? If not, based on who's standards? Define logic in a world that has no absolute. The athest worldview is inconsitsent. God bless.x
@Danby1000aA You make no sense. Logic, reason and morality all exist in our minds. Our minds are material. There are no moral absolutes, that's why we don't have slaves any more, and that's why (western civilizations) don't murder people for being gay. Get with the damn program, this is the 21st century!
@simcult 'Make no sense'... notice how the atheist always has to presuppose an absolute theory of logic to prove that logical consistency is non-existent - a self-sacrificing argument. 'No moral absolutes' you say - and then you fight for the abolishment of slavery and murder! Surely it is arbitrary, and with no absolutes, law is just a was to enforce a majority's opinion? At the foundational, presuppositional level, do you assume an immediate accesibility to logical and moral intuition? x
@Danby1000aA .YOU are the one making the claim that morals, reasoning and logic come from your invisible man in the sky, I am the one asking you to DEMONSTRATE it, how is that illogical? Morals CHANGE (that's demonstrable).. you say they come from your invisible man in the sky DEMONSTRATE IT PLEASE.
@simcult Are morals relative always? If so, than that's an absolute in itself.
I'm sure there is something to you that is wrong all the time, no matter the circumstance. I'd say you are a moral relativist when it's convenient and a moral absolutist when it matters to you. Example, I'm sure you think that infincide is wrong no matter the circumstance. 10 MILLION female babies have been put to death by their parents in India because of preference for a first born male. Is that wrong?
@mgundy Of course it is wrong. And of course most people agree. But that doesn't demonstrate those morals come from an invisible man in the sky. Morals originate and vary with human culture and solidarity, the example you gave demonstrates it - Indian CULTURE dictates the morals in THAT country. Just as other cultures have their own morality. If God made the morals why did he ONLY make Indians kill their babies? Oh don't worry I know the answer -> God works in "mysterious" ways.. right?
@simcult No, you see by your standards, it's NOT wrong. There is no right and wrong by your definition. It's wrong for you and "most people", but obviously not for people living in India. So if culture defines what is right or wrong for their populus, what happens when cultures begin to intermingle as the world gets smaller and smaller? What gives you the right to say they can't behave a certain way as cultures merge?
@mgundy 1) Human solidarity defines morals - RIGHT and WRONG are part of those morals. I don't steal because I KNOW what it's like to be a victim, and I know the consequences of such actions in my culture.
2) What gives me the right to say Indians can't kill their children? Human solidarity - I KNOW it's wrong for anyone to kill their children because I can imagine what it's like - it's CLEARLY barbaric.
3) Isn't it obvious what happens when cultures mix? Where do you live - at the north pole?
@simcult To #2) It clearly ISN'T BARBARIC TO THEM. Therefore, who defines who's solidarity is correct, or who's shold be taken over the other when they obviously conflict in such a fundamental way? Which leads to why you still haven't answered #3.
@mgundy 1) Look up the word 'solidarity' you clearly don't know what it means #2) That's right it ISN'T barbaric to them - therefore THEY have their own morality - it IS NOT supplied by your imaginary god. Thanks for proving my point. #3) Well I guess it isn't obvious - when cultures mix, we have issues, moral and ethical issues, ever heard of the term 'culture clash'?
@simcult That's a very interesting way to put infanticide... culture clash. Wow, just wow. What I'm getting at is that the ruling "solidarity" would be based on might by your assertion. I'm sure you're fine with that because you live in a place where that isn't currently threatened or will be threatened for the foreseeable future.
What I find interesting is the atheist never wants to honestly admit where their "solidarity" originated from.
@mgundy Conversation over - when you start taking my words out of context (and I clearly indicated context by using a numbering system) I cannot continue. I clearly did not at any point infer that infancide was paramount to 'culture clash'. Solidarity comes from interaction within a culture.... you didn't look it up did you? It's like talking to a brick wall. Have a nice ignorant life - and remember - don't check your facts, don't question your teachings and you'll feel blissful for life :)
@simcult Not one of your more intelligent replies. We give you rope sir, and you just hang yourself. You're your own worst enemy. Contrary to what you say all your comments presuppose an absolute theory of logic and morality which is inconsistent to an atheist worldview. Whether you call something 'illogical' or 'logical' is not the point, by who's standard are you making these definitions! Simple question that you've avoided from the beginning. You yourself are my demonstration. God bless
@Danby1000aA Wow I just couldn't let this one go... so ignorant... "your comments presuppose an absolute theory of logic and morality which is inconsistent to an atheist worldview". My comments do NOT presuppose an absolute morality - I simply state what I believe to be immoral - it just so happens that YOU agree with ME, and a crap load of other humans on this planet... BUT WAIT - some other people don't agree (shock/ horror)... do you SEE? it's NOT black and white, therefore it's NOT absolute.
@simcult Does that mean that you think that other views of morality are equally viable? If someone thinks cannibalism is acceptable, is that ok for them? You might say that that is wrong because it harms someone besides themself. But again, how do you justify that harming others is wrong? Everyone believes in absolute morality when their own health or property is put in danger.
@33adamwg Look it's pretty damn simple, we live in a world with other people (I hope we can agree on that), in order to live together we NEED to get along. Eating each other is NOT going to help.... right? THAT's called human solidarity, and THAT is where we get our morals from, not some magical invisible man in the sky.
@simcult And exactly what gives you any authority to make a claim like that? If "human solidarity" is all that we have to go by, then my reason tells me that if I become hungry, it would be the moral thing for you to do if you gave yourself up to be my lunch. Gotta take one for the team, homie.
@Doulos7608 What gives ME the authority? The majority vote. If you decided to eat me, you will be punished by humanity. I also think your own sanity and solidarity with other humans would stop you from committing such an act..., homie.
@Danby1000aA Logic, morals, and reasoning are not depended on the bible for validation because they come from one's own experiences and education. Also psychology shows that peoples beliefs varies from person to person. Even in the Christian community no two believers': logic, reasoning, and morals are the same. Why is it so hard to accept that these virtues are subjective? I
@simcult The reason why I haven't answered your question, as I have explained, is because we differ on what the criteria of a demonstration is. so no, I do not say that you can't question the claims of the bible, you must just realize that there is a difference in worldview that inhibits further understanding on certain points. Also Unicorns is an agreed upon fact, except among diagnosed insane people, that they are made up by the human imagination, this is not the case with God.
The miracle that happened to me, and the only one I need to believe, is that I was saved. Being saved is more spectacular than the universe being created. God made the universe out of nothing, but he had to forge me into a positive Christian out of a negative, worthless sinner.
I receive consistent miracles similar to the old testament miracles. It's mainly ministering angels directing me to JESUS CHRIST or THE HOLY BIBLE. GOD making a comment, reassuring, rebuking or teaching me. He is such a loveable GOD. I adore HIM. I believe this is happening due to my need. It was right that miracles were replaced with the gift of THE HOLY SPIRIT due to the dangers of demonic deception. Each of us receives according to what GOD knows that we need. GOD knows best at all times!
If someone you loved said event X was a miracle, would you just accept it bc it confirms your understanding of "god" or would you question what the bigger picture really is. if god has a plan, then miracles are apart of that plan. so random nice coincidences aren't that spectacular. o and John, the source was not supernatural.
"..as you move out from there it lessens." yep, show me a modern supernatural miracle. we, americans, are generally skeptical people. we have to be, bc of our commercial ridden culture.
A good question! And, the answer is of course miracles happen. I like how a fellow lover of Christ and stunnning writer GK Chesterton said, "It'd be miraculous if miracles didn't happen at all." And, a more contemporary soul dear to my heart said, "Medicine is itself a miracle. Who says God can't use everyday ways to bring forth miracles?"
@facialfetus hey does that deaf man still hear? I heard of this televangelist benny hinn that supposedly brought sight to a boy and when he was 17 he was legally blind. but the kid didn't really seem like he had faith or Jesus in his life at the time, so maybe that's why, but anyway, can he still hear?
I don't think what you said on Jesus operating from his deity is correct. Most of today's New Testasment scholarship would agree upon the notion that Jesus was operation from his Messiahship and that relates to what you said, correctly so, on the Kingdom and its inbreaking - that's what would relate to Ladd's take on things (which I think is correct).
Miracles do not happen. I mean the miracles where arms appear on people who had none. I dont mean speedy healings. We live in a day and age where cell phones can take videos or pics of such events. To this day none are posted on the internet at least on a popular scale. It would make world news and muting such events would not be gods plan since they would cause non believers to contemplate him. Stop with the conveinient excuses. Like alien sightings that cant be proved...show yourself.
@shizn I did. It was total shit!!! God giving people fuckn golden teeth? C mon get real. All these stupid interview accounts with no damn proof. I saw this I saw that will I see it? of course not. You christians are supposed to have wisdom discernment. Obviously you can't tell that these are all cheap parlor tricks.
@dave1122drum lol have you heard of legs getting lengthened? my friend had legs that grew unevenly since one of her legs got broken while she was still growing, so that leg didn't grow during that period, so that leg grew less than the other unbroken one...a man prayed for her, and her legs evened out...not quite a limb growing out of nothing, but it's certainly a restoration of a limb in SOME sense...?
@cedricwai Not good enough. no excuses. Again I am looking for the instant magic like miracle where a limb does appear in an instant or an eye in a socket. That is a true miracle like jesus would have done. Speedy healing or recovery is normal. The body is capable of quick healing. This happens all the time to non believers. Sorry. your friend was a quick healing.
@dave1122drum lol that's not a "speedy healing"...that's a healing that doesn't even normally occur period...her leg literally has stopped growing, cuz this happened when she was 24 yrs old (a good 7 years after her body's done growing), and is no longer growing...her legs were uneven by about an inch for over 12 yrs...and then restored upon prayer at one moment...that's no quick healing...that's something that just doesn't happen regularly..........
@cedricwai so you had a tape measure there at that exact moment to see? only an inch? Do you know how obscure that could be? I know a couple of people who have uneven limbs, eyes and breast. It IS normal for the body to be uneven maybe by and inch. swollen parts fluctuate to. She probably had a swelling leg for 12 yrs. I have a friend at work who had migraines for years and then one day they were gone not because of prayer. Its normal to heal WITHOUT prayer.
@dave1122drum no, not a tape measure...what they did was they had her sit in a chair and pushed her flush back against the backrest and she put out her legs so that the difference in length was obvious....they prayed, and they pushed her flush back again, and they found that it was even...my friend was actually stumbling for the next week cuz she wasn't used to walking evenly lol
anyway...if you're just gonna continue with a closed mind and explain things away, i'm done here
@cedricwai c mon really? people in your church or pastor who doesnt know jack about medical test thought to say "gee maybe we can see by putting her in a chair". I am sure a doctor would laugh at that experiment. She probably lifted her leg slowly. Did she follow up with a doctors opinion if she was healed? x-rays? Proof? C mon dont be silly- be scientific. believing one religion out of all is close minded.
@cedricwai Yea just as I expected you ran away from the debate unable to defend your belief. Christ doesnt retreat in defeat. Doesnt 2 Tim. talk about being ready to defend the faith or something like that? Pretty sad that an unbeliever like me is more christian than you. Running away is closed minded.
people are in delusions!!!! they think GODS HEALING THE SAME WAY WHEN CHRIST WALK THE EARTH.

However, that being said, healings aren't evrything
ttty2t1j3 3 months ago
@ttty2t1j3 Paul said it best, in the end tongues will cease, healings will cease, prophecy will cease, and all that will remain is faith, hope, and love. And when we are in heaven before our glorious creator, the only thing that will truly matter is the love that we had for others, and the love that we displayed for others. Healings aren't even anything glorious, because there is nothing a person can truly do to heal someone, just pray. God does the rest.

What a lying bozo. Sounds like tabloid article bull shit . Miracles only take place where they can not be documented. Then the rest is just stuff in the Bible. If you talk about extraordinary events, before you flap your jaws you need at least some proof by an independent source. None if these so called miracles when investigated where shown to be a sham. Saying I saw God is only proof to you. If you clam something it requires proof until then its only opinion. Piper is just a fraud.
yeudh 10 months ago
@yeudh How can you be so sure? You must be omniscient.
otherworld11 7 months ago
@otherworld11 Because no evidence means no proof. You can clam what ever you but you will need proof to prove your case, not just hear say. No miracle have been substantiated if they are true people would not need a doctor, just this bald headed preacher telling them that a amputated leg will grow back in a few weeks.

@yeudh You sound like an unbeliever. Have your sins been washed in the blood of the lamb?
otherworld11 7 months ago
@otherworld11 Well your wrong. I just need proof or you must be lair. A false teacher not doing Gods work but fleecing the people to make money. Which is what most traveling preachers are today.
yeudh 7 months ago
@yeudh You gotta hear His voice, man. He could feed a multitude right before your eyes but if your heart is hardened by sin, you'd rationalize the miracle. Jesus is alive. Ask him to reveal himself to you. He'll honor that prayer every time. Knowing Him is the miracle.
otherworld11 7 months ago
@otherworld11 Well if you any proof that the universe and earth was created in 6-24 hour days, that a 500 year old man built an ark and every creature was on it, and the world was destroyed by a flood. That millions of Jews escaped from Egypt but they forgot the pharaoh name. If you buy this pack if lies that have been proven to false, You will believe anything. My heart has noting with my thinking it is a organ that pumps blood. No medical evidence that a heart is used in reasoning.
yeudh 7 months ago
@yeudh The light came but men preferred darkness (John 3:19-21). Sin has obviously gotten the best of you for now, but you can come to your senses and follow Christ. You have until your last breath to repent, after that, however, God will banish you to hell for rejecting His son. Please don't go that route. Serving Christ is the very best thing that life has to offer. Instead of mocking Christianity, why don't you find a good spirit-filled church and get to know some people there?
otherworld11 7 months ago
@otherworld11 I would suggest that you get out of cult of bazaar rituals, secret words and hand shakes. Free yourself from this self deprecating obsession with sin you have. I welcome to the 21st century get out of the 17th century and away your wizard and soothsayers saying magic words to a magic man. You must question every word these wizards say from the magic book and when they are lying you call them out and show the errors that they propagate. I do and the wizards have no retort.
yeudh 7 months ago
@yeudh You need to repent, my friend. Jesus has seen you at your worst but still loves you. He's not pleased by sin but he's not surprised, either. NEVER FORGET that you can turn to Christ. Don't leave this life without asking him to forgive you, and committing with all your heart to follow Him.
otherworld11 7 months ago
@otherworld11 I can not have a relevant debate with a 17th century intellect. You can not address lack of facts found in the bible. This double talk about repent is not addressing the lack proof about bible miracles.Your inability to address the issue is what all theist have to do when asked questions about Biblical miracles, change the subject. It is not my position that a have to defend what you can not understand. If you are clueless on the subject just say so, stay on subject.
yeudh 7 months ago

MissedTheMark 1 year ago
Where did the bible ever say that God has not ordained the same inensity of supernatural power was intended for the entire church? I think that is just simply an excuse to justify the church's unbelief, specifically in the west.. In the western church we have doctors and insurance so we don't need God to heal our child, Christians in other countries have no choice but to believe God to heal their child. It is simply a matter of faith, like the woman who grabbed Jesus' cloak.
MissedTheMark 1 year ago
I'll call your bluff - can you demonstrate any of these 'Supernatural' happenings?
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult Miracles that are done by God is not for human entertainment, God does them for His glory, so the very question that you asked is asked with a motive, in the bible Satan asked Jesus the same question by asking him to turn stones into bread Matt 4:3 and later Jesus answered him with Matt4:7 saying that you shall not put God to the test. So, like Satan, even if you saw something happen you will find a way to explain it away because you hate God and you do not want him (Rom 3:11)
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@mariuspieter 1) You still haven't answered my question. All you have done is parrot the insidious notion that we are unable to question your fanciful claims - that's simply a form of control and I don't fall into that trap as easily as you have.
2) How can I hate something that cannot be demonstrated to be true. That's impossible. Unicorns are not real.. they cannot be demonstrated (I hope we agree on that) so do you hate unicorns?
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult If parroting the bible (which is the ultimate authority) is offensive to you then so be it, questioning it is your decision, however you assume that the only demonstration of something being real is through documented evidence. So if people have written thousands of books on their relationship with God, and more particular Jesus Christ, then those testimonies can't be counted as evidence, because it doesn't fall under ALL the categories of the scientific method, not really fair
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@mariuspieter 1) You need to demonstrate the bible is the 'ultimate authority'. Just because a book (or a person) says it is, does not mean it is a fact.
2) Yes I use evidence to determine my beliefs, the weaker the evidence the less likely I am to accept it. I find this a simple way to get close to truth
3) There's thousand of documented testimonies (which you call evidence) of UFO abductions. I don't believe UFO's have visited us, but by your logic, you must believe they have.
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult I really can't demonstrate it here, too little space, google those things if you want a full blooded argument on the matter or references to good books about the matter. What do you do with things that you don't have evidence for, or that cannot be explained by science? Seriously, you are going to compare UFO "testimonies" to full documented scholarly articles with full explanations and references, in the Philosophical world they call that a straw-man argument.
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@mariuspieter 1) No, I don't believe you can't demonstrate it; you've had thousands of years to do that, and it hasn't happened.
2) Yes, I am going to compare UFO "testimonies" when the only refutation you have for me is the supposed "authority" of "scholars" - I need more than authority to convince me, don't you?
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult I do have more than just those authorities that convinces me every single day, let me ask you thought, are you a scientist yourself?
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@mariuspieter Yes, I have a Bachelor of Applied Science (RMIT).
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult And please, this is a discussion not an argument, in an argument you prove something, I can't prove God using your framework for looking at the universe, because there are things you will just bluntly dismiss, you can't prove to me that I am wrong about what I said because you have insufficient evidence to convince me that God does not exist. So there is no refutation here, more a discussion to think about things you don't want to think about.
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@mariuspieter Hint: you can't prove something does 'not' exist. I can't prove invisible pink unicorns do not exist. This does not mean unicorns are real. The onus is always on the claimant to provide evidence. You (and this youtube video) claim miracles happen, I will remain UNCONVINCED until this can be demonstrated. Just as I remain unconvinced there are invisible pink unicorns, until they can be demonstrated.
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult On the same count you could try demonstrating that atheism is the best way to explain everything that happens in this universe, and I bet you will come up short too, so I don't think it is fair to ask me to do so within the limitations of youtube posts
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@mariuspieter There is ONE thing Atheism explains - a lack of belief in god(s) - that's it, PERIOD. It does not explain the universe, it does not explain how we got here. It does not require a belief in evolution, it does not require a belief in the big bang. So you can forget about attempting to find 'holes' in Atheism to support your argument - and even if you could find holes, it still wouldn't help your case for a creator.
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult Ok, here's what I will do, I will pray that you see God at work, because trying to provide evidence that has no relation to the identity of God is kinda pointless and would not do Him justice and does not exist. Here's the thing you have a paradigm of reason and evidence through which you see the world around you, I have Jesus Christ added to that list and everything that surrounds that, some things are spiritual, so using material evidence is not going to prove them, you see the logic?
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@mariuspieter I agree, I use reason and evidence to determine my beliefs, not superstitions, stories, and 'personal experiences'. Thanks for praying for me, the sentiment is nice, however I use the same reasoning with prayer - it has been demonstrated over and over again not to have any affect... on anything. When you say 'some things are spiritual' I think you are again regressing to superstitions - nothing supernatural has ever, EVER been demonstrated to exist - there is no logic here.
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult That's just because you choose to ignore the testimonies of Christian people that you say that. You have no evidence to make some of the claims you make, it's funny how you throw the evidence card around when it suites you.
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@mariuspieter I don't ignore it - I just don't believe it. Just like you don't believe the testimonies of thousands of people each year who claim they have been abducted by UFO's - oh and by the way you can actually TALK to the people who claim they have been abducted by UFO's to determine if their testimonies have any credibility, unlike your so called 'eye witnesses'.... who lived thousands of years ago...in a desert... surrounded by superstitious barbarians.
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult The UFO's again, ok well I think we are done, I would encourage you to ask God to show Himself to you and I will pray that he does, I really hope you cultivate broader ways of seeing this world and the one beyond than just evidence and reason only.
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@mariuspieter Umm okay, I'll use evidence and reason to determine what I believe and you use, well... whatever it is that you happen use, good luck to you.
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult Like you don't know what I believe, I stated it word for word, why is it that even though you don't have the answers to explain how this universe came to be, you mock me for believing the best argument for it yet. Sure we don't have scientific method tested evidence yet, but since you don't know either, why do atheists find us laughable, seriously a creator vs a pool of stuff that got miraculously infused by energy that one does not know the origin of since energy can't create itself?
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@mariuspieter I didn't mock what you believe - only the methods by which you get TO your beliefs. I WILL mock unreasonable methods for determining beliefs, wouldn't you? If someone said they had a magic invisible dragon in their basement because a book told them so (aside from thinking they are insane) wouldn't you mock them? 2) Why bring science into the argument ? We're talking about miracles here - science has not demonstrated, or claimed the existence of a miracle.. ever...
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult In that case, I don't agree with the methods you use to know whether miracles exist or not either, you see you don't even try to see that if you don't experience it that does not mean that other people don't. The very basis of miracles are that they are not explainable with evidence, yet that is exactly what you try to do or suggest doing. So yes, your methodology doesn't make sense, and it's not like I am completely throwing out science I just don't ONLY look at science.
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@mariuspieter 1) Amuse me, what method can you possibly use (other than science and reason) to determine whether miracles exist? 2) Again - put yourself in my shoes - if other people have personal experiences with invisible unicorns, that's not sufficient evidence for me to believe it - same with your God. Do you know there are many religions all over the world who have 'personal experiences' with their flavor of religion - do your believe all those people (and the miracles they assert) as well?
simcult 1 year ago
@mariuspieter Lets make it simple. Miracles either happen or don't happen - that's a statement of FACT. So then, very simple question, here it comes... what do you use OTHER THAN science and reason to determine fact?
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult Talking with a condescending tone does not give you more credibility, to answer your question, experience, what you experience with your 5 senses. Some things that you experience over a period of time and repetitively. What is the point of asking me this though, if you mean truth by fact then experience is my response, but even the FACTS are misleading on so many facets in life, the media is one of the prime examples of this.
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@simcult The science that I do agree with is the science that actually analyzes what can be analyzed through science. The problem in most cases as I have found is that atheism and science are quite far removed, slander and atheism are closer to one another, since that is all I get conclusively from atheists
mariuspieter 1 year ago
@simcult IF there is no god, and we live completely in a materialistic, naturalistic universe, with nothing immaterial, and no immaterial force keeping anything consistent-this includes LOGIC, REASONING, an MORALITY. Without a god, all of these things become subjective, man made, and therefore completely up to ones assumptions. Would you deem Christianity logical? If not, based on who's standards? Define logic in a world that has no absolute. The athest worldview is inconsitsent. God bless.x
Danby1000aA 1 year ago 2
@Danby1000aA You make no sense. Logic, reason and morality all exist in our minds. Our minds are material. There are no moral absolutes, that's why we don't have slaves any more, and that's why (western civilizations) don't murder people for being gay. Get with the damn program, this is the 21st century!
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult 'Make no sense'... notice how the atheist always has to presuppose an absolute theory of logic to prove that logical consistency is non-existent - a self-sacrificing argument. 'No moral absolutes' you say - and then you fight for the abolishment of slavery and murder! Surely it is arbitrary, and with no absolutes, law is just a was to enforce a majority's opinion? At the foundational, presuppositional level, do you assume an immediate accesibility to logical and moral intuition? x
Danby1000aA 1 year ago
@Danby1000aA .YOU are the one making the claim that morals, reasoning and logic come from your invisible man in the sky, I am the one asking you to DEMONSTRATE it, how is that illogical? Morals CHANGE (that's demonstrable).. you say they come from your invisible man in the sky DEMONSTRATE IT PLEASE.
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult Are morals relative always? If so, than that's an absolute in itself.
I'm sure there is something to you that is wrong all the time, no matter the circumstance. I'd say you are a moral relativist when it's convenient and a moral absolutist when it matters to you. Example, I'm sure you think that infincide is wrong no matter the circumstance. 10 MILLION female babies have been put to death by their parents in India because of preference for a first born male. Is that wrong?
mgundy 1 year ago
@mgundy Of course it is wrong. And of course most people agree. But that doesn't demonstrate those morals come from an invisible man in the sky. Morals originate and vary with human culture and solidarity, the example you gave demonstrates it - Indian CULTURE dictates the morals in THAT country. Just as other cultures have their own morality. If God made the morals why did he ONLY make Indians kill their babies? Oh don't worry I know the answer -> God works in "mysterious" ways.. right?
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult No, you see by your standards, it's NOT wrong. There is no right and wrong by your definition. It's wrong for you and "most people", but obviously not for people living in India. So if culture defines what is right or wrong for their populus, what happens when cultures begin to intermingle as the world gets smaller and smaller? What gives you the right to say they can't behave a certain way as cultures merge?
mgundy 1 year ago
@mgundy 1) Human solidarity defines morals - RIGHT and WRONG are part of those morals. I don't steal because I KNOW what it's like to be a victim, and I know the consequences of such actions in my culture.
2) What gives me the right to say Indians can't kill their children? Human solidarity - I KNOW it's wrong for anyone to kill their children because I can imagine what it's like - it's CLEARLY barbaric.
3) Isn't it obvious what happens when cultures mix? Where do you live - at the north pole?
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult To #2) It clearly ISN'T BARBARIC TO THEM. Therefore, who defines who's solidarity is correct, or who's shold be taken over the other when they obviously conflict in such a fundamental way? Which leads to why you still haven't answered #3.
mgundy 1 year ago
@mgundy 1) Look up the word 'solidarity' you clearly don't know what it means #2) That's right it ISN'T barbaric to them - therefore THEY have their own morality - it IS NOT supplied by your imaginary god. Thanks for proving my point. #3) Well I guess it isn't obvious - when cultures mix, we have issues, moral and ethical issues, ever heard of the term 'culture clash'?
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult That's a very interesting way to put infanticide... culture clash. Wow, just wow. What I'm getting at is that the ruling "solidarity" would be based on might by your assertion. I'm sure you're fine with that because you live in a place where that isn't currently threatened or will be threatened for the foreseeable future.
What I find interesting is the atheist never wants to honestly admit where their "solidarity" originated from.
mgundy 1 year ago
@mgundy Conversation over - when you start taking my words out of context (and I clearly indicated context by using a numbering system) I cannot continue. I clearly did not at any point infer that infancide was paramount to 'culture clash'. Solidarity comes from interaction within a culture.... you didn't look it up did you? It's like talking to a brick wall. Have a nice ignorant life - and remember - don't check your facts, don't question your teachings and you'll feel blissful for life :)
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult Not one of your more intelligent replies. We give you rope sir, and you just hang yourself. You're your own worst enemy. Contrary to what you say all your comments presuppose an absolute theory of logic and morality which is inconsistent to an atheist worldview. Whether you call something 'illogical' or 'logical' is not the point, by who's standard are you making these definitions! Simple question that you've avoided from the beginning. You yourself are my demonstration. God bless
Danby1000aA 1 year ago
@Danby1000aA Wow I just couldn't let this one go... so ignorant... "your comments presuppose an absolute theory of logic and morality which is inconsistent to an atheist worldview". My comments do NOT presuppose an absolute morality - I simply state what I believe to be immoral - it just so happens that YOU agree with ME, and a crap load of other humans on this planet... BUT WAIT - some other people don't agree (shock/ horror)... do you SEE? it's NOT black and white, therefore it's NOT absolute.
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult Does that mean that you think that other views of morality are equally viable? If someone thinks cannibalism is acceptable, is that ok for them? You might say that that is wrong because it harms someone besides themself. But again, how do you justify that harming others is wrong? Everyone believes in absolute morality when their own health or property is put in danger.
33adamwg 1 year ago
@33adamwg Look it's pretty damn simple, we live in a world with other people (I hope we can agree on that), in order to live together we NEED to get along. Eating each other is NOT going to help.... right? THAT's called human solidarity, and THAT is where we get our morals from, not some magical invisible man in the sky.
simcult 1 year ago
@simcult And exactly what gives you any authority to make a claim like that? If "human solidarity" is all that we have to go by, then my reason tells me that if I become hungry, it would be the moral thing for you to do if you gave yourself up to be my lunch. Gotta take one for the team, homie.
Doulos7608 1 year ago
@Doulos7608 What gives ME the authority? The majority vote. If you decided to eat me, you will be punished by humanity. I also think your own sanity and solidarity with other humans would stop you from committing such an act..., homie.
simcult 1 year ago
@Danby1000aA Logic, morals, and reasoning are not depended on the bible for validation because they come from one's own experiences and education. Also psychology shows that peoples beliefs varies from person to person. Even in the Christian community no two believers': logic, reasoning, and morals are the same. Why is it so hard to accept that these virtues are subjective? I
souldude81 1 year ago
@simcult The reason why I haven't answered your question, as I have explained, is because we differ on what the criteria of a demonstration is. so no, I do not say that you can't question the claims of the bible, you must just realize that there is a difference in worldview that inhibits further understanding on certain points. Also Unicorns is an agreed upon fact, except among diagnosed insane people, that they are made up by the human imagination, this is not the case with God.
mariuspieter 1 year ago
The miracle that happened to me, and the only one I need to believe, is that I was saved. Being saved is more spectacular than the universe being created. God made the universe out of nothing, but he had to forge me into a positive Christian out of a negative, worthless sinner.
AmazingJesusIs 1 year ago
I receive consistent miracles similar to the old testament miracles. It's mainly ministering angels directing me to JESUS CHRIST or THE HOLY BIBLE. GOD making a comment, reassuring, rebuking or teaching me. He is such a loveable GOD. I adore HIM. I believe this is happening due to my need. It was right that miracles were replaced with the gift of THE HOLY SPIRIT due to the dangers of demonic deception. Each of us receives according to what GOD knows that we need. GOD knows best at all times!
voyagersystem 1 year ago
If someone you loved said event X was a miracle, would you just accept it bc it confirms your understanding of "god" or would you question what the bigger picture really is. if god has a plan, then miracles are apart of that plan. so random nice coincidences aren't that spectacular. o and John, the source was not supernatural.
JACKSCHEESYSMILE 1 year ago
"..as you move out from there it lessens." yep, show me a modern supernatural miracle. we, americans, are generally skeptical people. we have to be, bc of our commercial ridden culture.
JACKSCHEESYSMILE 1 year ago
A good question! And, the answer is of course miracles happen. I like how a fellow lover of Christ and stunnning writer GK Chesterton said, "It'd be miraculous if miracles didn't happen at all." And, a more contemporary soul dear to my heart said, "Medicine is itself a miracle. Who says God can't use everyday ways to bring forth miracles?"

During a praise and worship service, the Holy Spirit was apon us
so much, that a youth adult who had been deaf his whole life
was healed from his deafness and could hear again.
It was the soverign grace of God that poured out unto that boy
that healed him from deafness & it was humbling to have witnessed it.

Sorry. your friend was a quick healing.
dave1122drum 1 year ago
@dave1122drum lol that's not a "speedy healing"...that's a healing that doesn't even normally occur period...her leg literally has stopped growing, cuz this happened when she was 24 yrs old (a good 7 years after her body's done growing), and is no longer growing...her legs were uneven by about an inch for over 12 yrs...and then restored upon prayer at one moment...that's no quick healing...that's something that just doesn't happen regularly..........
cedricwai 1 year ago
@cedricwai so you had a tape measure there at that exact moment to see? only an inch? Do you know how obscure that could be? I know a couple of people who have uneven limbs, eyes and breast. It IS normal for the body to be uneven maybe by and inch. swollen parts fluctuate to. She probably had a swelling leg for 12 yrs. I have a friend at work who had migraines for years and then one day they were gone not because of prayer. Its normal to heal WITHOUT prayer.
dave1122drum 1 year ago
