You failed to mention what really ruined Cuba which was Fidel and Che. They created socialism which lead to communist dictatorship. Thats why the real Cubans on the island wait hours on end for even an ice cream cone. You also failed to mention the letters that are sent from Cuba have black marked out sections the Cuban government does not want you to read. How do I know? I am Cuban.

No offense, but your video presentation sounds more like capitalistic propaganda. There are many countries that have capitalism, and are down-trodden and are taken advantage of Americans -- whether exploiting the labour, or the resources the country has. If Cuba "opened up", you can bet that all the cheap personal hotels will be taken over by American chains, jack up the prices, force the "peasants" off the good beach-front property and allow private condo developers to take over. Not good.

@wakeupscreaming All the money made by the hotels in Cuba go to the Cuban government not its people. The people that work in the hotels are paid in pesos by the Cuban government which is next to worthless. The majority of Cubans on the island cannot even afford a toothbrush because of the socialism. US businesses left the island when Fidel and Che took over. The economy in Cuba was shortly crippled. Cubans are all for the embargo to strangle the communist elite.

Respond to this video... In the end what makes capitalism work is that it gives the opportunity for the average person to make a good living for themselves and support their own families. Here in the US we can start a business from hard work and dedication. You can't do that with socialism which is what is happening in places like Denmark where welfare is high and they are having labor shortages. Most people with degrees end up leaving for better opportunities to grow.
