What i want to say is: Why covering at all..?? You are good musicians! Why don´t You write and compose yourself good songs? Why stealing the ideas of other people? I´m sure you would make a much better figure. with this what you are doing now, you just try to say:
There's more to writing songs than good musicianship. You need a lot of creativity to write a good song, Also, some people just like to play the songs they like, and don't really care about writing own songs
Good sound, well played. But for my taste, too much copying of other influences (see other Vido "Walk this Way"). Too much covering, Too much Brian Setzer, too much copying guitarsolos and original brass arrangements...
Much too less own ideas, much too less own originality. Why buy a record of this band, if i can get the original???
It's a coverband....their playing at Clash of the Coverbands....wonder why it sounds so much like Brian Setzer? Probably because their trying to cover him.
Anyways, love big bands. Should be more of them out there.
I agree about the coverband, but would like to state that we also cover other artists like Queen (crazy little thing called love), Michael Jackson (black or white), Aerosmith (walk this way) etc.
Cause it's a Dutch band! And only a few people from the Netherlands love Brian! And Brian isn't everytime in the Netherlands! And this band gives you the chance to hear masterpieces of Rockabilly live! It's just an awesome band! :)
@rockincarbonara@rockincarbonara I'm sorry but only because they are covering an artist that is defined by "good" doesn't have to mean that they are instantly also good.. A lot of people try and cover popular songs but it's quite hard to actually please the fans that know the original. And even more so, there are a lot of cover bands that are musically bad.
I saw Big Shampoo yesterday live, and they where just amazing! Keep up the good work

So that is what makes the whole thing a bit frustrating: why they lose theyr time for copying someone, instead invest theyr time by being a own original? Did Brian Setzer ever covered anothers showconcepts? So why they do? it´s that easy to write Rock´n´Roll Songs! If they want to gon on, just let them go. I gonna go on writing my own songs.. and let them copying by other bands ;-)
This is awesome! Great rockin' sound and an amazing vocal. I just love it. Keep it up!
