  • OMG Thank you!

  • Excellent tut. Thankyou. Others have described this tool but you have really explained it. Keep the goodies coming

  • Is this tool available for photoshop CS2? (quick selection tool)

  • @pvspiero no i don't think so.

  • You're the main way I learn how to do anything on photo-shop! Please keep making tutorials ^^

  • since i have learned many things but i did't able to recall it

but ice flow studios help to recall it and to learn many features in it

Thank you for your work to making us to learn

  • Part of the wall was still there! Wait! You're not done! >:(

  • this is the most difficult job to do in Photoshop, but when you get the skill, it becomes a joy!!!

    thanks a lot!!

  • Thanks for the tutorial, mate. It really helps me out!

Sometimes I make backgrounds of my favorite singer and entertainer, Michael Jackson. Selecting his curly hair is really difficult with the lasso tool, so this really helps me out!

Thank you, one more time! (:

  • I tried it with a zebra in a greyish background. Messing a little bit with the comands photoshop selected only the black parts of the zebra. IT made a cool effect : D

thanks for your tutorials they are usefull every time. with or without Zebras.

  • she has big boobs...

  • I tell my parents that I am busy studying, they see "Youtube" and question my word, i show them your videos and without a doubt approved its educational.

My mom said you have a sexy voice too(:

  • @TheRichiecon He does.....

  • @TheRichiecon my parents just wont listen to me when ever i tell them im learning photoshop on youtube and i wanna learn so much about it! i love photoshop! and i bet im going to be some sort of graphic designer when i grow up.

  • The only part that I actually need help on from this you didn't cover. and you pointed your mouse right on it and ignored it....yes, the purple on the bottom part of the picture in her hair. Whats the best way of removing that?

  • @dawgyv72 try using the Background Eraser Tool with Tolerence set really low, but dont forget to duplicate the layer that you are working with, so if tou make a huge mistake (that even the History window can't help) you can always go back to the original layer. you cam find an in depth article about the Background Eraser Tool on photoshopessentials(dot)com/photo-editing/background-eraser/

  • Wishes I could do this one...I can't find this Masks thing in the windows section...I'm using Photoshop Cs3

  • Thanks, I learned a lot.

  • just use CS5 hahaha.

  • wow i should check my yt subscriptions more often this really would have helped on my project, ended up just doing the magic wand and trying waaay to hard

  • All of these videos are extremely helpful. Not sure why they don't have more views. ps: that girl is smoking :)

  • Nice job, covered all basses!

  • i have a question, why does the refine mask dialog box isn't the same like mine? is it because of mine is cs4?

  • @alddeanov Yeah. Everything he showed was one of the upgrades from CS4 to CS5.

  • @alddeanov yeah... Photoshop CS5 was used in the example

  • Sometimes 'Alt' does not work with the quick selection. Can i still do some parts with another selection tool, even though i used the quick selection tool for the main part of the picture? Many thanks.

  • @SjoerdvdKroon Near the top left you can select a quick select minus tool, instead of pressing 'Alt'.

It looks like the quick selection tool, but it has a negative (-).

Try looking for that if 'Alt' doesn't work for you (Just make sure quick select is selected first, or else the icon won't be there)And you can't use another selection tool without having to work with two different selections.

Ie. You can't use the quick selection tool, and then use the lasso tool and have it be only one selection

  • I have a question, when drawing, should I use the brush tool set to hard, or soft colors ? I want to give my drawings a hard edge, but add softness to them, but I'm missing something.
