Wow, this woman really knows her stuff. I thought I was really well-researched on the matter, but she taught me a bunch of things I had no idea about, not to mention the excellent examples (the frenulum is like what holds your tongue in, etc.) I'm so glad she's adamant about changing attitudes regarding circumcision. Circumcision reduces sexual sensitivity and function, particularly in later life, when the keratinization of the glans and surrounding tissues has diminished sexual sensitivity of those areas so much that it requires Viagra to even become erect.

The other country is Somalia, which has no recognized government. Here in the US, congress has signed the treaty, an indication that "we" would like to ratify it. Before we can honestly ratify it, our practices and laws must be brought into conformance with it's principles. Infant genital mutilation is high on the list of changes required.

Some intact men jokingly say a foreskin is a perfect detector of shallowness in their partner. People who have been raised genitally intact in circumcising cultures sometimes feel they want to be cut to conform to the majority. This happens in cultures that cut girls too, enlightened parents protect them and then they grow up demanding to be cut as teenagers.

You may have to educate some of your partners, better that than getting yourself cut for someone who is ignorant of normal anatomy.

Along with any surgery, cirumcision should be done if it's need or if there's a problem with the person in question. Religious reasons are another fair reason. Denmark, which does not mutilate by circumcision, has LESS cancer of the penis than the US, which mutilates by circumcision broadly.
