  • I never noticed that before. (btw batman is the best hero ever. Deal with it lol)

  • that man's not beast! watch xmen first class

  • ITS JUSTA FREAKING CAMEO PEOPLE. SEBASTIAN SHAWS IN THAT SCENE TOO. BUT ITS A CAMEO. thanks for uploadn though

  • sweet

Thanks man didn't remember that from when I first saw the film

  • nice catch

  • im sorry macavoy was good but stewart looked more like the xmen tas prof x lol

  • Actually pay attention next time and you'll realize there are no continuity fails or plot holes. They deliberately did certain things in first class to make you idiots talk about it.

  • Yes, X-Men: First Class. It had better writing. Better Direction. Bigger PLOT HOLES!! Watch the first 3 movies then watch First Class. You will see what I mean.

  • @runyon04 ..continuity fails..bryan singer said first class is a preqaul to the first two x men movies he directed..so yea this is a huge error..why didnt they just call it a reboot??

  • Yo no la vi a esa escena, esta distraido mirando a Mystique.

  • Maybe that was just Mystique again?

  • sooo first class........

  • @jsupermax First Class deliberately ignored what was established in these three films because they needed a familiar character for the fans to connect with. Apparently, FOX believes Magneto and Xavier cannot hold a film on their own.

  • That's so cool! I never caught that, thanks!

  • Love it. I mention Beast in one my new raps on profile come to think of it..

Please check it out if you'd be so kind! Much love.

  • Yeah I remember that! I loved that movie alot so it took me a while to see it but I did finally.

  • rumor is that x4 is on the way and it's based on first class (please don't attack me if it's a lie it's only what i've read around here)

  • i'm confused... in x men first class he's already "the beast" ironically the movie involves sebastien shaw...

  • @ralfcaetano yup, they have a tough time keeping age, looks, experieces and etc in right chronological order.

  • @parrotcreek here are a few other things i noticed... if shaw is dead how is he in the cameo? (could it be some sort of first idea on what first class was gonna be?), the beast was xaviers student but in the movie he was an ally (at least who doesn't understand the series would say he'd become one of the schools teachers though on the other hand he was taught to use his abilities in the movie but i don't think that makes him a student of the institute)

  • @ralfcaetano X- First Class is actually said to be a prequel, but also a reboot of the series, so thats why there are all these issues with continuity.

  • @chefstevekirsch but why are they doing that if they're continuing the original x men series? :s

  • @chefstevekirsch Technically they can rectify this and connect it to this series. Remember, in the comics, Beast had taken serums to had his animal form. It's like one of those twenty-four hour things.

  • he looks so skinny in first class and now hes kinda fat

  • continuity errors galore thanks to first class. IT IS AWESOME

  • for the people who want to question continuity, in this scene it never said "Sebastian" Shaw and in Wolverine, they never called that diamond chick "Emma". So to be fair, nothing was EVER set in stone sense full-names were never officially mentioned until First Class.

  • @y2johnnie ur really stupid... x-men have been around for longer then u have prob been alive since ur making a comment like that...hank mccoy has always and will always be beasts name.. xmen were first created in 1963... and in the first comics beasts name was always hank mccoy.. so yes..... his name was always set in stone... you think they made up emma? if so just dnt even bother replying to this.. -_- like really just dnt even respond if u think there names werent set in stone from the start

  • @Fartmastergb - i actually haven't been on here in a while so i know i'm bout 6 months late to your comment but before you start calling people "stupid" you should READ the comment i originally wrote. I never said anything about the characters in the comics. I was PURELY talking about the movies. I even said "in this scene". So hopefully in the past 6 months you've learned to read people's comments fully and not bring up points that weren't even mentioned.

  • Also wasn't Gambit mentioned somewhere in X2, i read that his name was listed in the computer database Mistique gained acess to. I don't think it would be a continuity error, it actualy makes sense based on the events of Origins Wolvering.

  • damn dr shaw even sounds like kevin bacon

  • Yes the timeline is all messed up. But to be fair, when the very first X-men movie was written, they had no idea that there would be sequels. Sure they hoped, but they couldn't count on it. So they wanted to at least mention Hank McCoy, since he was one of the original X-men.

  • X-Men movies are so fucked up in their timelines

like Emma Frost being young on X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and then in First class she's all grown up, or professor X at the end being old, or a young Scott Summers too, or even Sabertooth as Wolverine's brother and he's not hairy and acting like a total animal... you know, just like we see it in the very first X-Men movie

  • @poLMnts oh the emma we see was not actually emma frost[they never call her that]but a character based on her and sabertooth losses his memory but other than that, yea its messed up

  • @Toxin1241

i think you're right, nothing says that she's emma :O

  • @poLMnts Thing is nobody cares about X-Men Origins Wolverine or X3. As far as I'm concerned, they were never made.

  • This is one of those stupid hollywood errors. In First Class we see Hank turn into Beast, but 30 years later, not only hasn't he aged, he still holds his human form....... is it really THAT fucking hard for Hollywood to THINK before writing a script?

  • Consistency errors GALORE!!!! but I still enjoy the original trilogy... I mean c'mon y,all ... Prior to nolan's batman, x2 was probably the best comic film made. I'm looking forward to first class 2

  • Fuck the first four films, I'm taking X-men First Class as the new official movie timeline, since it had better writing, better direction and a better plot. Acting was on parr in places (Mcavoy and Fassbender were just as good as Stewart and Mckellen, respectively), so I have no preference in terms of acting and casting. But I came away from First Class wanting to immediately watch it again.

  • @TheRandyChimp i cannot agree with this more. i was so upset at the plot inconsistencies from the first four movies, but this one was fantastic. it wasn't cheesy and didn't jack up the plotline. i wish this is how the whole film series had started in the first place.

  • @TheRandyChimp Like it or not - I actually think all of the X-Men movies are within the same timeline. Don't get me wrong - X-Men: First Class is my favorite X-Men movie as well BY FAR. I wish they could've done the other ones so much better (Rouge in the three first one is just awful). But I do think they try to keep it within the same timeline all together. I mean, Wolverine made a cameo here, still played by Hugh Jackman.

  • @kurvos But cameo's don't mean anything, they're there to make the audience go "Hey, look, theres so and so!" It didn't add anything to the story.

First Class changes things for the original films (Mystique has no problem just killing Xavier in the first film, even though according to first class, she loved him). I'm sticking with my guns, imo, First Class is a new beginning. You can think what you want though, you're entitled to your opinion :)

  • @TheRandyChimp It's not a matter of opinion. Lots of people realize they did try to make this into a prequel. They even used the exact same WW2 footage again from the first X-Men movie with the young Magneto. Not to mention, Mystique looks the same.

I really do wish there would be a chance this means they will start all over... but I really doubt it, I'm afraid. Especially as they will release that movie Wolverine soon. And Mystique doesn't mind to kill anyone in the 3 first movies. She's grown.

  • @kurvos It is a matter of opinion. My opinion is, I'm ignoring the first three films, this is a fresh start in a new generation.

It's not the same footage, it's the same shot set-up, there's a difference.

Mystique looks the same? Beast doesn't. What's up with that, huh?

Wolverines new film has been in development hell, so I don't know what you mean by soon. 2013 isn't soon.

It's not a question of whether Mystiques okay with killing. It's a matter of her relationship with Xavier.

  • @TheRandyChimp No, it's the exact same identical footage. I've checked both movies - there is no difference. Beast kinda looks the same, but is a lot younger.

Look... you might be right; I don't think I can go against it too much. But continuity errors happens in canon stuff as well to the already established stuff. And the movie do seem to do it's best to keep itself within the same canon. Just look at Xavier's house/school. Not saying I am not supporting a franchise reboot, though.

  • @kurvos It really isn't the same footage. The actors are different.

Brett Morris played young magneto in Xmen

Bill Milner played young magneto in first class. Honestly, it's different footage.

  • @TheRandyChimp It's a different actor AFTER that footage from the first movie, yes. But the first footage was of Brett Morris... then when they where in that office where the mother was shot; it's that Bill Milner kid.

  • @kurvos For gods sake, it's not the same footage! It was a recreation! It's been mentioned everywhere the it's a recreation. The actors for his mother and father are different. The actor playing magneto is different. You get full on frontal face shots, it'd be pretty fucking stupid if it kept switching back and forth between actors!

It is a recreation, it's not hard to see that!

  • @TheRandyChimp Alright then - I've might have just been mistaken, as the footage is almost identical. However, this makes one fact much stronger - this is indeed a prequel to the first movie.

  • @kurvos No, it's just the director paying homage to the original films. If it was a prequel, they would have used the exact same footage.

In fact, if it were a prequel, there'd be no need to show the footage, as we've already seen it.

  • @TheRandyChimp If it wasn't a prequel - they wouldn't make the footage identical. If it was a rebooting, they would have done something new. This isn't to pay "homage", as much as both you and I would love if it was just that simple - which I am very afraid it is most likely not.

But look - you might be right. No idea. Like I said - I want them to do Rouge right... I really hated that bitch in the three first movies.

  • @kurvos If rogue turns up, it won't be for a while, the sequel's going to stay with the characters in their youth.

I don't think it's rebooting. I think it's its own series, working off it's own history.

  • @TheRandyChimp ... well; either it's a prequel to the three first movies, or it's a reboot of the franchise. There isn't anything between that, captain.

  • @kurvos How do you know? I'm a film and tv student, I've looked into this, you can have a film series seperate from other films based on the same characters, that isn't a reboot.

  • @TheRandyChimp No - that is a prequel in that case. I'm studying and working to one day myself become a movie director - I'm not an idiot myself either.

  • @TheRandyChimp I've actually looked up info about X-Men: First Class. In fact, it IS a prequel to the two first movies... but as for the third movie and Wolverine - it ignores them, AKA reboots all the ideas from them. In fact, I personally think it is only a prequel to the first movie; as it IS ignoring stuff from the second movie as well. I would've liked a fresh start myself though, where we would get to see Rouge for instance as she should be. Not to mention, Nightcrawler personality wise.

  • @kurvos If we're going to go for simplified definitions, it's a total reboot. Magnetos real last name is spelt differently than in the original trilogy, the relationships between characters are different, etc.

  • @TheRandyChimp The director according to IMDB claims First Class to be a prequel to the first two X-Men movies while ignoring the rest. But if this really IS a reboot - I still want to plead them to make new versions of X-Men characters they've done wrong in the past. Especially Rouge.

  • @kurvos It's rogue, not rouge. Rouge would be pronounced "rooje". Just a heads up.

I don't care about the first four films, as i said in my first comment. First Class, for me, is a new start. As in, I'll watch these for the characters in them, and I won't make links to the original films.

  • @TheRandyChimp It's not easy to spell stuff correctly always when english is my second language. :P But thanks.

And I wasn't saying that. Could you at least TRY to follow me? I'm saying I hope they will reinvent all the mutants from before. Or well, some of them (Wolverine is good as he is). But Rogue, Nightcrawler, Angel, Jean Grey, Cyclops and so on. This is a chance for them to make characters like these more interesting and well developed.

  • @kurvos That's sort of what I mean. When I watched first class, I didn't link characters I saw to the first three films, I saw them as their own entities. So basically, if they did introduce Rogue, Nightcrawler, Angel, etc, I'm hoping they'd all be different than in the original trilogy and it's subsiquent Wolverine spin-off. I'm agreeing with you.

  • @TheRandyChimp You know; I get the feeling it would have been interesting to talk to you through PM. :) I do have to admit though; I am not as educated about the X-Men as I wish I was. I am mostly educated with Batman when it comes to superhero stuff. XP But I am so motivated to learn so much more about X-Men as well. :D

  • @kurvos Same. I personally prefer Batman.

  • @TheRandyChimp Oh? Suddenly, I'm getting curious to talk more with you. ;)

  • @kurvos Lol, we've filled this comment section already. Probably not a good move. :)

  • @TheRandyChimp Oh? But I've just been sending a PM to you. XD

  • i swear fox needs to get their x men timeline right

  • But, according to First Class, he was already furry and Shaw was dead...

  • Comment removed

  • omg ppl are actually finding ways this works...plain and simple tey did not anticipate beast and shaws role in x3 and first class.

  • Really, these movies are made by people that have the money and read/write screenplays. Fans that normally know the actual story line don't make the final decisions. And so, you end up with mistakes like this. Either way, everyone starts geeking out when they see this... Just realize it's a mistake and that the producers/editors love it when you notice it.

  • Well this is just a middle finger to the new movie.

  • notice how mystique looks at mccoy.. like in the new film wen they have a romantic interest she could be remembering him

  • I found Ant Man in the X-men 3! Logan, and covers his head, because Jean is sending him a message, then he kneels down in front of Charles Xavior's Stone, and then you see an Ant walk across Wolverine's shoulder!

  • Guys if you're really taking Beast's lack of fur seriously in this tiny insignificant clip which was only something for the fans to notice, then I should remind you that Beast used to have a holographic watch or something at some point in the comics that made him look human when he was out in public, so just think of this scene as him using that.

  • @ACira93 True, but then think about this: Why would he need that when, in the third movie, he's on a freaking council as well as being a mutant.

  • @TheStealthX At the end of X2 doesn't Prof X take the X Men to the Oval Office to talk to the President about mutant rights or something? That means that before that Beast used the holographic watch as a disguise to join politics and revealed his true nature and came out of hiding as a mutant.

Either that, or suspension of disbelief.

  • @ACira93 Hmm, yeah, that makes a bit of sense. I just figured that since he was in the council in the third movie, then he would have been accepted for being a mutant, and therefore would have no reason for the watch.

  • @ACira93 I just assumed he had a close friend who impersonates Henry McCoy for public appearances, until X3 where Hank is more comfortable appearing himself.

    Also, wasn't the holo-watch more Kurt's deal?

  • @TheBlairdevil Could very well be an impersonator.

The holo-watch is a gimmick that has been reused in comics for decades, its been used by Kurt (and was made especially famous in the X-Men Evolution cartoon) and also by the Thing from F4 for a brief time.

Hank had a stint in the 80s where he reverted back to his human appearance (with big hands and feet and blue head hair), and I'm not sure whether that was a holowatch or a serum he made

Its only a cameo tho no need to look to much into it :)

  • @cowmant23 First class is a reboot

  • @rayblack2004 no its not, its a prequel, Bryan Singer said they were taking some liberties with the timeline and almost all the trailers and a lot of the posters have referenced the original movies (such as magnetos helmet and prof x's wheelchair from the original trilogy) which they wouldnt do if it was a reboot. Plus theyre making another Wolverine film and Hugh Jackman's still playing Wolverine, if they rebooted X-Men they'd make a Wolverine film with a different actor.

  • @OneDeviousBastard Because it before the first four films. Put it this way, you know how x-men has different comics like astonishing and uncahnny? The film is just like that except its a prequel

  • @cowmant23 Thats because first class is not cannon from the first four films...

  • @iBillcosby yes it is. And the MacCoy in this scene is just easter egg nothing more.

  • this tiny cameo has ruined X-men First class for me. Not Happy!

  • @Evergreenoutsider10 I feel the same. I need an explanation.

  • @Evergreenoutsider10 could be a different Dr. McCoy

  • so he goes from blue and furry and catlike in first class, to normal human in X-2 to blue skins and fur yet still somewhat human looking in X-3. The continuity of these movies in confusing the hell out of. If fans of the films notice how to the creators miss it.

  • This was a cool cameo. But now because of how Beast's and Shaw's story is in X-Men: First Class, this whole little scene will be out of canon now with the film series

  • @Zetton199198 i know it sucks. i hate how newer movies throw stuff out of canon

  • dumbest cameo of all time! i can't believe some people want beast to look like this plain and boring Bruce Campbell reject in the new "First Class" film. I'm glad they made him blue and putting him in this cameo was a huge mistake. the beast character wasn't interesting to me until he mutated into the blue beast...that's not beast, that's bruce campbell!!

  • @DeadAssassinGuild wtf do u have against bruce campbell huh? and to educate u, the guy playing beast in this movie is Steve Bacic, not bruce campbell!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • thats so cool, i never noticed that.

  • My brother noticed this when me and him first saw the film. :D

  • Ohhhh I didnt even noticed that -_- smh

  • beast wasnt always blue and furry, he used to be just big and agile, he tried making a cure for mutancy and it wound up mutating him even further. read the comics before you comment.

  • @billyspurr so many people do not read...period.

    sad

  • @billyspurr

incorrect...follow your own advice and find out what really happened...hint: brand corporation

  • @txcchamp you talking original or ultimate?

  • @txcchamp ah yes, I do see that I misspoke, must have gotten a wires crossed. thank you for the lesson in humility.

  • @billyspurr

    lol no biggie

  • You can also see Gambits name on the computer when Mystique is downloading the Mutant Files.

  • in the comic beast didn't have blue fur at first and still had powers so he is still a mutant

  • all i know is that he is on tv in the bar scene with mystique

  • The clip is mentioned on wikipedia

  • One has to wonder how much time was spent watching the movie before that was caught.

    Days? Weeks? Who knows.

  • I noticed it the second time I watched it but I never noticed that he was talking to Sebastian Shaw of the Hellfire Club.

  • I love How Bryan Singer was able to incorporate so many characters and still give us a great story!

  • @dkerris i saw the movie once, and i caught that.

  • ...but he's not blue or furry...

  • It's before he tried to cure himself. He tried to cure himself and something went wrong and turn him into a blue furball

  • ...not yet...

    lol

  • Comment removed

  • he wasn't always blue and furry

  • @icingdeath69 And now he's blue and furry in the prequel.

  • @icingdeath69 yeah but he was blue and furry long before all of this

  • @icingdeath69 - But in first class he's blue and furry at the age of like 18 ??

  • Comment removed

  • @sexysteveontour10 he can switch back and forth im guessing?

  • @edyoung44 no,in x2(the novel)its revealed xaviers attack on Mastermind triggered a second mutation causing him to become again for x3

  • @icingdeath69 but he was blue and furry way before x2 was supposed to be. he turened blue before magneto turned evil.

  • @icingdeath69 then y the hell is he blu and fury in first class?

  • He's actually talking to Dr Shaw as well, as in Sabastian Shaw of the hellfire club.

  • @bassbella69 this makes no sense tho, its like they dont even care about the xmen movies: in first class beast changes to his blue and furry form, and shaw dies.... now, beast i can explain (holographic disguise used all the time in the comics), but shaw? did they even remember that they put him in here?

  • @loktono Probably not. I'm just taking the first three movies out of continuity now and hope they continue with their own, because first class was awesome.

  • @loktono Mystique? But I agree with Bassbella. I think First Class is in a game all their own now. It was one of the best movie's I've ever seen. I hope they continue it. xD

  • @bassbella69 which is now in 2011 a discontinuity error due to X-Men: First Class

  • @bassbella69 shaws a nazi

  • @bassbella69 - How do you know ? Lol

  • @bassbella69 but shaw died in first class

  • great vid i never noticed that lol
