So Zeus commanded that Persephone spent half of the year with her mom above(Spring ,Summer) and the other half in the underworld with Hades(Fall,Winter). So my point is that the girl from Fantasia could actually be Demetria... Anyhow I love them both You've made an amazing vid thanks for sharing it here onYT^^

Really Greaat Vid!! Love it trhat at last somebody made a vid about that story^^ But Actually Persephone was the daughter of the goddess of nature Demetria... And one day when the God of the underworld saw her he fell in love with her and kidnapped to his world. But then her mother fell into deep sadness and the earth didn't have any warmth/ sunshine nothing bloomed and the people didn't have anything to eat so they couldn't make sacrifices to the Gods either.

You what's kind of interesting? Disney actually did a cartoon based on the legend of Hades and Persephone called Goddess of Spring. That was in the 30s. And of course Hades had the Roman name Pluto and looked totally different there.

I LOVE PERSEPHONE. She's my very favorite greek demi goddess. In my mythology class last year I picked Persephone to be my mythology name (we picked mythological names to use instead of our real ones.)
