nice one! my little boy turned five in February and is reading almost like your boy... it's wonderful to see. Once they are on their way they really go like a rocket! I read to him lots from a baby onwards, singing to him, very little "goo goo gah gah talk" that people do with babies etc. I think that really starts them on a good way. Is he talented at other things like that?
It doesn't matter if he's comprehending. The point is that he can decode at a very high level, and that is an extremely useful skill! Good job!
