Man, the enemies in this game move really strangely. They really defy what a lot of programmers and gamers think when they hear "robot."
I remember having a tough time with this as a kid. I lost track of things mentally if they were too fast (Sonic) or there was too much going on (this game, with its animations and explosions, for example).
Some games, I'd rather just watch than play. I get much more enjoyment out of that.
There were "two versions" this boss, depending on if you went after Dead-Eye Joe at the beginning of the game or not.
Basically the same boss, but if Dead-Eye isn't dead, he comes out of the machine and goes "Ahahaha die and stuff" or some kind of 16-bit videogame dialogue like that.
It's more versatile than Rambo's gun. He's switching on the fly from automatic homing Missile launcher to grenade launcher and laser rifle. I think the guns from contra are the coolest weapons in computergame history.
I remember the very first time getting to this guy and I was playing 2 player and OMFG we just couldn't beat him for some reason hahahaha but ya watching all of these vids makes me want to play this game right now!!!

The design of the game is really awesome.Easily of the best games on Genesis and in general.
As some reviewer of this game said "This is how awesome games can be if designers and programmers aren't lazy"

All the little touches on this game are awesome. Gotta love the "crawling" sound effect for the boss!:)
14 years ago I traded a copy of Street Fighter II for this game. Couldn't have been happier with my trade!
The only problem was I could never get someone else that was as go0od as me to play 2P...

If you think that's cool, Browny(the little robot guy you can choose to play as) has a frickin electro-Yo-Yo that kills bosses in like, 10 seconds!!

the code is for all weapons-A, B, C and D [press the pause button, then enter up,up,down,down,A,up,up,down,down,B,
up,up,down,down,C x2 times] and viola! all weapons and bonus score!
