I love the more mature take WATO has gone with on the new album but i really wish alfie did something more inticate on the base. I know he isn't really amazing but something different then just straightforward chord progression on most songs would be nice such. Eg. Get out while you can by We are the Ocean. I love the EP and Cutting our teeth as well as the new album but i think they still have another album or 2 to go until they really become something truly amazing.

Just because they take out the screaming it doesn't mean they're different from every other band out there. To be honest it probably just means they've made a complete genre swap and started sounding like other bands.

When I first heard this, I was like, "uhh?" but after I heard it the second time, I was blown away. I sait to myself, I've gotta buy this album! I've known about We Are The Ocean since their Cutting Out Teeth album even over here in the United States. I'm guessing I'm one of their many, but few fans in the US since they are a band originated in Europe. None of their albums or EP's were or are crap. I've watched alot of interviews of them and found it amazing that they mange themselvs!

Take Trivium for example, been around since late 90s and despite all the screaming he does, Matt Heafy's voice just gets better, he drinks a lot of water and looks after his throat and the bands albums keep getting better vocally. Aint nothin' harmful about screaming.

Yes, "Go Now and Live" is a far more accessible album than "Cutting Our Teeth", but it's far more cohesive, and honestly, it's just better. The musicianship of these guys on this album is absolutely brilliant.

I have to say when I heard WATO had altered their musical style to a more generally accessible form compared to Cutting Our Teeth I was annoyed. I assumed it was just an attempt at gaining mainstream success. However I gave them the benefit of the doubt and listened to Go Now and Live and I was blown away. In my opinion it is a much better, more complete album than COT. I do miss the harder parts of WATO, specifically Dan's screaming. But this album is definitely one of my all-time favourites.

i didnt really get into their first album or the ep before that. Just thought it was a bit generic. But their new album really steps up. Its just a all around great rock album without trying to please anyone group of people. Its like Taking Back Sunday circa Where You Want To Be being covered by Alexisonfire while borrowing Thrice's guitar peddles.
