I am in need of this series on DVD,as well as Soldier of Fortune Inc,-Special Ops Force and others.Anyone know where I can get them on Region 1 DVD's.
Oh lord:D I saw a half episode when i was a child..I had it on tape and i watched it a 100 times but the endig was missing:D What happened with the guy who crashed in the ocean??:D I think they intercepted a russian bomber and after that one of the planes crashed....i always wanted to know what is the end of the story:D
@Luzhell If you think "AIRWOLF" featured badly written plots, then your standards in television drama must be embarassingly low. It was a *futuristic* show, aka. a thing called escapism, which most television audiences love and prefer. "TOUR OF DUTY" was fantastic, but after it's 1st Season, and due to being so true-to-life, it got bogged down by the realism, and became incredibly boring. "AIRWOLF" never pretended, nor actually covered itself behind the exaggerated American flag.
@AirwolfArchive Have you seen Airwolf, and I mean actually seen it, because if its "Cold-War-CIA-secret-ops-saving-the-worls" attitute is not the TV equivalent of covering in the American flag then I don't know what you are refering to with that.
It cerntainly was not futuristic, it was pure Cold War brain washing, and not even a well disguised one.
Escapism, if you allow me, is Robocop, not Airwolf, that, in case you forgot the show, was pretty boring too.

Maybe a better way of describing it is that "AIRWOLF" was a fictional, suspend-disbelief-required show. People take television far too seriously, and the show wasn't one to taken seriously. The titular character was a supersonic jet helicopter, but that was one of the best elements; hence escapism.
I know I've had no luck finding any dvd's of the series, BUT I do have vcr tapes, recorded off TV. I'll try and locate them. With any luck I've got all episodes... Then we'll see if they can be converted...
Why is it whenever a positive view of the U.S. armed forces is shown, some fool has to call it propaganda? If they hate the U.S. military why watch? I wish people would learn the meaning of the words they throw around recklessly.
@kdraper2007 - Not quite what people are saying. Backed By The Pentagon films like Top Gun are fine - it was just that Supercarrier was woefully bad. Check TV Tropes for comments.

Cheesy Cold War era TV shows... And this show was so bad and illogical that not even the Pentagon back it up.
I can only name 2 good shows of military influence in the 80's. "Tour of Duty" and "MASH".
Everything else tried to hide their badly written plots behind the american flag (I'm looking at you "Air Wolf")
