What gets me is that while the younger generations of America might not know who the runaways were, the older generations might. Here in the UK, at the time of the runaways, we had already moved away from that syle of music, into things like heavy punk and ska, so not even my elders know who the runaways were. While that makes me feel unique, it also gets a little lonely when you name your favourite band and everyone goes "Who?"

I remember loving Joan Jett in the 80's and my friend making a cassette copy of The Runaways. Honestly I was a little disappointed when I heard it because I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Yesterday my sister-in-law asked me about them... I was shocked because she doesn't like this type of music. I just saw the trailer for The Runaways movie. I have a feeling the Runaways are going to have a runaway resurgence. I LOVE THE RUNAWAYS, The song 'C'mon' is on The Runaways 'Live in Japan' and studio LP "Flaming School Girls - The Runaways with Cherie Currie (released on Cherry Red). This track was originally to appear on 'Queens of Noise'. I love it, but I guess they decided not to put in on that LP. Great video clip as ever Cherie O. Love it!
