Uhh to make rare monsters spawn you have to walk into an area 150 times, do you have to walk into the catacombs 150 times or the east wing of the catacombs 150 times to make him spawn?
when i fought them i used 3 groups of 5 to maximize hp , if u seperate them it will put a hurt on u quick besides , u should already have " attack from afar " already , this should help with deadlock so it won't reach
I'd also like to add that i did infact kill a lot of the monsters that can easily be skipped, so not to offput anyone off of this quest, it can be done much quicker than an hour.
In PC version Sledgehammer appeared in Catacombs, when I was doing the quest with the perfumes (killing the albin qsits). I was BR 32 and killed him relatively fast.
maybe his BR is high so it can do much damage to him up to now i cant find the bloodthirsty beast so i can get chalice rank 1 so i can fight tha rare monster
just adding: in pc you have to see a chimera instead of moth and if you see a grand beetle you have to go back to elysium. the same to nephyt and bandit.
you can do on disc one, save the game in elysion keep entering catacombs n if u see any glutons or giant beetles further on down press Y and choose the 'return to title screen' option, then load n try again
i saved outside the eastern door, and i have been going into the eastern area and get pests and return to title and re-load does this work in anyway or would it be best to follow your method?
I can confirm this combo. I entered the dungeon, had the moth across the ravine so continued on. Found no gluttons or giant beetles in the eastern area and after the 2nd round room with the albic qsiti in it i found Sledgehammer in the corridor just after that room.
When did you encounter the Sledgehammer? Because I've been at this for a while, encountered several moth spawns at the beginning but later on I keep running into beetles and gluttons. Must I progress to a certain part of the story, then it will be available or it doesnt matter.
Thanks. The other moth I was encountering was the Flying Moth while sleeping. It's actually a really rare spawn layout to get, so that's why I looked for it for over 3 hours.
sometimes theres a moth that is sleeping, its a rare spawn called Artaxa. if its there there's no sledgehammer, i've been at this for 4 hours or so. (dominator only took 20mins tho so it kinda evens out i guess hahaa)

it's difficult to fight in pc version...
cause its hp is around 206K (while in xbox, just 65K)... and its hammerspin can cause up to 3000 damage...
anybody know how to spread the union to minimalize the hammerspin's damage..?

By Moth, do you mean the Flying Moth or the one that sits on the ground? The one that sits on the ground sort of looks like the Deathmorph.

It's either empty, a chimera or a flying moth.
