How the hell did you manage to get a good looking widescreen version of this!? No, really, this movie has been in Public Domain hell with a shitty pan and scan version that seems to be the only one like it around. Unless for whatever reason you happen to own or know someone who has a 35mm copy of this and decided to digitalize it. ANd if that's so, you know you can make a bunch of money off of it by selling the only widescreen copy available since it IS public doman material....
I mean the movies I mentioned have some pretty bizarre scenes, plot devices, or strange themes for Spaghetti Westerns... i.e. Django is about a dude who drags around a giant coffin with a deadly surprise inside. Fistful of Dynamite's main character is an Irish explosives expert who is hiding out in the west. The Great Silence has a protagonist who had his vocal cords cut out as a kid.
I didn't say anything about Death Rides a Horse being weird. I simply brought up three of my favorite obscure SW's. All of which happen to be very odd movies. And I think that both Django and Fistful of Dynamite are well above so-so movies. But that's my opinion. I still think the best SW's of all time are For a Few Dollars More and OUATitW, The Outlaw Josey Wales comes close, but it is an American film.
Nope, although he is one of the most famous (and talented) Spaghetti Western actors. It's John Phillip Law (I'm not sure if he was in any other SWs), as stated in the description & tags.

Have you seen Fistful of Dynamite, Django, or The Great Silence? Those three are my favorite "weirdo" Spaghetti Westerns.
VernianProcess 2 years ago
what do you mean by weirdo?

django and dynamite are so-so movies and i haven't watched silence yet
and death rides a horse has nothing that qualifies it as "weirdo" for me
