as petreat pointed out there, the cases are not ejecting due to the round being subsonic. it has nothing to do with our barrels. there are many misconceptions and bad information out there about the fn. ammo is often the cause of problems with the fn. reloaded ammo can cause major problems. due to the high pressure the 5.7 casing goes through the case neck elongates and the wall thickness is thinned, therefore when reloaded the case will often crack and cause the gun to essentially "blow up".
@ahjpwn Jarvis barrels are fine. I will say that after I took some Jewelers Rougue to the chamber the gun shoots those same Elite Subsonics and cycles fine. Maybe it was something else. I liked the first Jarvis barrel enough to buy a second one for another FN.
He was using subsonic rounds as well normal rounds would have been fine, maybe it's extra quiet and destroys the range. It would be traveling considerably slow
Yes supressors slow the bullet down and disipate the sound from the gun powder, it has to slow it down to get rid of the second boom, the sonic boom from breaking the sound barrier. Sorry for spelling
If the FN Five seven's round is a 5.7mm, that's a high velocity round. It gives it an advantage. But wouldn't it be impractical to have a silener on it? I think that would slow the speed. But I could be wrong. Anyone know?
@Daveman57by28mm u fucking moron do u know what SUBSONIC MEANS? do u understand what a suppressor does to a bullet especially a subsonic rnd $ the FN5.7 is a pistol dumbass...dont comment on shit if you dont know wtf u are talking about fucking pussy asss little trollerthr fn 5.7 isw a plastic gun the slide is extremly light for a rnd not to rack the slide means it is moving extemly slow andu might as well just use a .22
Thanks for this video! I bought a 5.7 today and am going to order the jarvis barrel and suppressor next. Thanks for the 'head's up' with the chamber polishing... I'd be pissed if I went to the range and have to cycle every round manually - good to know!
I heard Elite Ammo is overrated. Do you have to manually cycle after each shot because it is too weak of ammo? Did you try it with normal SS195/SS197 ?
Elite is fine Ammo. The Jarvis Barrel needs some polishing. I finally did the polish but have not taken it to the range. See my other video for the 197's. They are fun to shoot as well. I will put up a new video of the subsonics soon.
do you have to cycle the next round on all subsonics?

See our new video with the Jarvis chamber polished. The Elite QuieTors cycle very nice.

@MrNuke7571 You have to manually cycle each shot because the sub-sonic ammo doesn't have enough power to cycle the ammo after firing.

Do you think it will even have enough back pressure to cycle the round after polishing?

I finally have my polishing supplies. An update is coming.

did you ever get it to cycle?

I still have not worked the Jarvis barrel over but I bought the polishing supplies.

WOW!

I need to do a little honing on the Jarvis chamber to get the ejection going with the sub-sonics.
