  • fantastic synth ! Used by Briin Eno on U2's The Joshua Tree

  • Frakinf awesome. David Sylvian was the master of the VS.

  • @AspieKeyboardist Waldorf Blofeld

  • Mann, wie der der drückt! Für eine Digitalkiste...Respekt! Kein Wunder, das der VS einer Deiner Lieblinge ist. Die Amis konnten früher die besseren Synths bauen.

  • @schmittwilli

ja der VS ist extrem vielseitig. von digitaler Kälte bis hin zu warmen Prophet5-Flächen beherrscht er alles. Ich mag den wirklich sehr.

  • I bow to the awesomness of the beginning of the Korg Wavestation! Beautiful synth! I miss the Wavestation!

  • DEPECHE MOOOOODE

  • AWESOME stuff! Makes me want to go listen to all my old Japan albums again... Thanks!!!

  • @hdprice

    :)) thx

  • 3:44 is very creepy indeed!

  • wonderful, I saw Vince Clarke using one of these on stage 20+ years ago on an Erasure tour, fantastic synth.....but not as good as a PPG (at least for my own personal taste...)

  • @mutantmoments

I like both. sure the PPG is the king of digital madness.

  • Nice piece of equipment.

  • Some great sounds.R

  • @musictec1

    :))

  • mmmm simlpe LOVE the VS:)

  • I really dig the sound of this synth :)

  • Nice vid Marko.I'm curious how the Polyevolver is similar to the VS. I can add ring modulation and fm to each of the digital oscillators. I could for instance have 3 fm 4 and 4 fm 3 at the same time time creating some weird sounds.

  • Love the arp :)

  • Where can i hear complete songs of this great sound?

  • @KC8YOQ

check my other vids with the VS

  • @KC8YOQ Sounds to me like some Genesis ones :) But I may be wrong.

  • @KC8YOQ

Fancy - Flames of Love ;D

France Gall - ella elle l'a

Whitesnake - Here I Go Again

    Alphaville - Forever Young

    and more

    Genesis no.

  • Great sound!!!

  • Thanks for sharing. A nice visit to the 80's Interesting. Analog warmth, and yet ..digital crispness. Reminds me (a little) of the MKS-80.

Q1: I noticed you didn't really use the knob you touched (briefly) at 0:05 - 0:13 - is it not useful/experssive in live performance?

Q2: Did you any FX (a delay) on this?

  • @Andybaby

    thank you :)

you can also use the vector envelope to mixing the four waves.

I use a little bit delay and reverb

  • Sequential! Great!

  • Great stuff, as always! But, I swear you guys should rename the channel to "retropads"...you play long sustained notes on even the patches labelled "lead"...makes me laugh every time.

  • @audibleobsession

    hahaha

    man I love pads! ;D

  • man those are some great vintage sounds

  • @culturaleyes

    yes.

    thx

  • sounds like the bladerunner music.
