  • I think this is the Navy Troupe? Is that correct?

  • @jojopuppyfish

    Its the navy band

  • This song is dedicated to the late Elad Krug from Kibbutz Shwaim located between the cities of Herzlyia and Natanya.

Elad Krug lost his life in the war of June 1967.

Rachel Shapira, the woman who wrote the words of this song, also lived in that Kibbutz. Mrs. Shapira was acquainted to this young man since his birth.

  • Kashe liyiot Yehudi,,,kuliam sonim otanu...ABAL HAYAVIL LIYIOT HAZAKIM ...VE LISHAYER YEHUDIM.AMEN

  • all turks are ugly crude and hairy, and so is the turkish language.

    hugs from Israel!!

  • @RAEDOSMAN1980 I agree. But it works both ways. Let the Israelis remember that.

  • I'm not even Jewish, but this video is so touching and so full of feeling, truth, soul and heart.

It just makes me appreciate even so much more the blessing that the Jewish People are in the World... So full of hope and - most importantly- heart ... For the heart is what dictates our being - the ecensse of who one truly is...

Thank you for this esquiste video/song - And G-d bless and keep His people- Israel

  • @yodelinged

thanks for what you said,I have family in Israel, this people is touching definitely,a kind of the best the human being can be sometimes.

  • @yodelinged What a beautiful sentiment. I feel the same way.

  • התרגום לאנגלית די בעייתי וחבל...

  • Why does a beautifully sad song about a man with promise dying in battle have to be become a battleground of ideas?

This song isn't about just Israeli fallen. It isn't just about Israeli wars. It is about loss of life and if anything is anti-war. Jews die in war, as do Muslims, Christians, Hindus, and yes, even Atheists die in foxholes. The loss of a life on the field of war is always a tragedy.

In the spirit of the song, use words to teach love and peace, not fight. Why is this so hard?

  • @o0charade0o You are so right.

  • and JEWS we are blessed, no doubt about that, is true we do have a vibrant Heart.

  • Jew,you must be so idiot.

There was no term in Turkish,to define Yâhûdî before Islam,so is it anormal for you to see me using Islamic-Arabic Sâmî words? My parents are also Turkist-Shamanist,there is no reason for you to be upset!

  • Yes you are right, why do you need to fuck yourself, ohh what a pity of me,although I am ready to make you fucked, why would you like to fuck yourself!

  • Bein a Musâvî is not racial but,as musch as being a Karay Mûsâvî,being a Yâhûdî Musavî is racial.Yâhûdî's are Sâmî like their genetically relative race Arabs... So go and fuck yourself mixed baby.I dont need your assistance.

  • good song!

  • why are stupid racist people in internet? easy, learning more stupid things for this stupid life.

  • What???! Are you crazy? In my opinion, Jewish people are the most beautiful! I don't know someone who is ungly... If you have this opinion, just keep it for yourself, don't comment!

  • most if not ALL jews are "mixed" with other races, so thanks for the compliment, you retarded imbecile.

  • Ur English is so bad...

  • please show me where my english is "so bad." because, it most certainly is not.

and it's "your" not "Ur." idiot.

  • Hey idiot,it is wasting time to write just a letter for u... I try to simplify English language for u... Spell it :'u' What is it? :It is 'You' Jew,you...

  • it is also wasting time replying to your asinine comments. you aren't "simplifying" the english language, you are BASTARDIZING it.

yeah, i am a jew. and proud. get the fuck out :D

  • stinky Turkish do you look sometimes in the mirror?. you and your nation are the ugly people all over the world

  • your mother is ugly

  • this song make me cry, what is the singer name?

  • nothing stop the war, only god(dios, elohim) stop this stupid war, when HE wants to, when elohim coming here, the people will open the eyes.

  • Beautiful song :')

  • this song makes me cry too - i get chills - amazing

  • i thought this song was beautiful when i first heard it, but now that i know what the lyrics mean, i have to say that it is the most beautiful song ever written, in any language.

now i just need to learn ivrit, sigh....

  • we fight until the death

  • @yahudka You and your kind are just scary and what makes people hate you.

  • Over the ages, the evil one tried to destroy G_D's people, but he will never succeed, for the Bible says "No weapon formed against you shall prosper."

And one day -whis the LORD has already appointed- there shall be peace in this Holy Land, when the Messiah returns. Until that day we all need to pray for the peace of Jerusalem for as we are watchmen on the wall. May the LORD bless that Nation and protect its people - HIS people.

    Shalom

  • Beautiful song.Stop a war in Israel.We love you Israel.Long live Israel:)))))))

  • Wonderful sonG!!

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever written

  • couldnt stop crying

  • wow, the words go deep... great video!

  • This song is sung during Yom Hazikaron (Memorial Day) ceremonies. This is not a song to dance to. It's touching, it is filled with hurt, and it depicts the Israeli sentiment towards war. In that, it is reminiscent of "Hayamim Ha'akherim" (which is not sung in ceremonies).

  • I love it! Thank you for posting the original Ma Avarech on Youtube! Now I know what the words mean in English. I've always loved this song and Israeli folk dance. Thank you again!

  • Thanks for the English translation. I have fallen in love with these Israeli songs of the 60's, even without understanding the words, but I have certainly been curious to know what they are singing about. I hope you go on to subtitle my other favourites by Ruchama Raz, Chaya Arad, Ofra Haza and Yardena Arazi.

The beauty of this music transcends language and culture.
