1.I do think she should've said thank but i can understand where she's coming from. And i love her.I dont understand how any one can hate her. You project ur self on to her. And if you hate her it kinda sounds like ur jealous of a fictional character.

2.The whole papercut thing was unexpected. So was Edward's soul theory.

3. I did kinda have a feeling that something bad was gonna happen.

1) I love Bella and think shes awesome but she was very whinny and annoying! i think she should have said thankyou even though she doesnt like celebrating her birthday and stuff.

2)yes, mostly everything in the chapters is unexpected! especially when Jasper went to attack her...didnt c that coming!

Book Club:

1. I do agree with you with the way Bella was acting. I mean, she could have at least said thank you, even if she didn't want to be there.

2. It was surprising. It all happened very quickly and quite unexpected.

3. Yes, Edward's pessimism made it very ominous for me, also the discussion of the Volturi. and almost the whole end of chapter 2.

I felt really bad for Bella in the first chapter, actually. Here she is, feeling that she's going to grow older and older, eventually die and leave behind Edward, and she really doesn't want to celebrate. I don't know why Edward is always forcing her to live through these experiences.

I was completely surprised by Jasper's attack. I definitely felt something bad was going to happen, though at the time I never guessed how truly awful it would be.

Book club:

1) I felt the same way to Bella in the first chapter, like "stop whining and say thank you!"

2)I thought Stephanie used a lot of foreshadowing, especially with the beginging and the end of the second chapter. So the begining was surprising and obviously the Jasper attack, and i also found Edward's veiws on losing his soul and stuff quite surprising too.

3)I did sense something omimous would happen due to the end of chapter 2.
