Daigo is still the best the fact that during this tourney everyone knew about ryu he had been totally dnloaded. If ryu wasn't so popular Daigo would have won. Cammy wasnt known like ryu.

cammy is a speed star and it is being abused. That dive kick is faster than all of the dive kick there is. If you can see that is really a hard time for daigo. The frame of that dive kick if i'm not mistaken is 2 and a shoryuken is 3 or 4 now and a grab is 3 too, so before you can do anything well cammy will be far ahead.

Marn, Mike Ross, Arturo, PR Rog, JWong, etc... have all beaten Daigo a few times, does that mean they're better than him? Daigo is currently the best SF4 player right now (VERY close with GamerBee). in 3rd strike he sucked ass. in SF2 he was 3rd best (after Muteki and tamashima). in Alpha you could probably say hes 2nd (after Kiyo). yea you could say Daigo aint the best in those games but in SF4 hes top. give credit where its due.

But I don't think there's anyone other than Sako who can ADAPT to Daigo of all people and manage to beat him in a long set in a disadvantageous matchup to top it off. Mago raped Daigo when the advantage was his but as soon as Daigo picked Guile Mago didn't stand a chance no matter who he picked :/ In an interview when he went to Kuwait, when asked who was the player he had trouble with, he answered Sako.

i understand what your saying. and of all the players hes faced Sako Ryan Hart and Alex Valle are the only people i have seen who have given Daigo a really hard time. in both SFA 3rd strike and SF4. but none of them have achieved what he has. in my opinion (and current status), Daigo is the best (so far).

@skyrock100 I was referencing Godsgarden 2 and the Canada Cup in particular. In Godsgaren 2 Mago beat Daigo's Ryu with Fei 10-3. Less than a month later in Canada Cup, he was still relentlessly beasting on Daigo's Ryu in MMs. But at the finals when Daigo picked Guile, Mago only managed to win one match and lost the other five. He even switched to Boxer to no avail. Although, who knows, maybe he culd've pulled a Sako if there were any more games xD Btw that vids pretty old and was a casual match.

ssf4 is considered a slow pace game with no rolling, high low jump and fast slow jump. cammy dive kick shouldnt exist in this game at all, it does not tally with the game overall speed. daigo needs much more concentration to be on the defensive side but after 5th round his stamina give way. surely there will be some nerfing done to cammy to the arcade version i hope.

Cammy's dive kicks can only be blocked if they are done safely with the exception of some fast start up moves. you can only pounce on a mistake and i'd say sako gets this right 99% of the time so daigo has no choice but to block.

I played sako a lot during vanilla online and he used to hang around in player match a lot, perhaps he's hanging around in endless in super.

In the west rank mode is dying with most playing in endless but its kinda differenti n japan where they prefer rank mode

Is it really that difficult to read Cammy's dive kicks on wakeup? Everytime Daigo got knocked down he got hammered by Sako's dive kick on wakeup.  If Daigo can sort himself out on this one technique he wont have problems with this matchup.

Why didnt Daigo just DP the divekicks on wakeup? All he would have to do is ensure that he DP'd the correct way but thats much better then trying to block when you know your unable to (for some reason) and getting hammered with a combo! even if the DP traded its better then getting nothing!

@chesterr01 I understand that Cammy is doing ambiguous crossups and because Diago was unable to read the direction of the jump in (cross-up or normal), he would try to block. But he was really unsuccessful at blocking at kept getting hammered by the jump in attacks. Maybe if he had tried a few DP's, if a few of them connected it might have put some doubt into Sako's jump ins.Instead he did an awful job of blocking the jump-ins and ended eating huge combo damage.Daigo became free on knockdown.

@TheDonKKs If you were playing against Daigo, you'd be on the defensive all day long. Sako's "aggressive" play is more footies/bait trying to catch a limb as he dive kicks. They both pick and choose their moves carefully. Sako just gets alot of good knockdowns compared to Daigo so it always seems he is aggressive. Sako is supposed to go on offense after knockdown but safely as possible. Daigo does the same after he knocksdown Sako. He does safe jumpins. Japanese play smart not facerolling.
