Titanic played the cards "It characters&story are so basic it must mean that its playing to the greatest effect" that Avatar will play, but had real attention to detail to a time period, and the sinking scene was real tense&sorrowful. None of those redemable qualities that made Titanic better than it couldve been was in AVATAR

And when I went to see Avatar in 3D at the most obscure location, there was still quite a few people in the theater with me. People... IMAX machines can play films no longer than 170 minutes. The original release was 162 minutes. Does that ring a bell why the extended 3D cut features only 8 extra minutes? Don't bash Cameron for technical limitations he didn't impose.
I'd go see Avatar again even without the new scenes, and with them, all the better.

THIS IS A GOOD THING. People who missed it in 3D can go watch it, and those who did watch it in 3D have a small incentive to go re-experience it for the few additional minutes (a small bonus). This movie must be experienced in 3D!! There is no home 3D version of it, yet.

Avatar was booted off screen by that mediocre Burton POS, Alice in Wonderland. And when I went to see Avatar in 3D at the most obscure location, there was still quite a few people in the theater with me. Now, after months of crap since Avatar first came out, there is definitely an audience for this.

they can only add 8 minutes becuase if they add more minutes then Imax won't play it. Imax has a rule that they will only play movies that are shorter then 170 minutes

People... IMAX machines can play films no longer than 170 minutes. The original release was 162 minutes. Does that ring a bell why the extended 3D cut features only 8 extra minutes? Don't bash Cameron for technical limitations he didn't impose.
I'd go see Avatar again even without the new scenes, and with them, all the better.

THIS IS A GOOD THING. People who missed it in 3D can go watch it, and those who did watch it in 3D have a small incentive to go re-experience it for the few additional minutes (a small bonus). This movie must be experienced in 3D!! There is no home 3D version of it, yet.
