I give interpol a lot of credit for inspiring me and making me feel better just when I felt like giving up on myself. This song is definitely my favorite by them. I think its sweet that he's singing about his Romance with drugs. When there's no significant other to love, might as well love your high.. Interpol is exceptional in creating meloncholy beauty. For me this song along with the video reflect how I felt after taking simply too much lsd and was terrified to go to sleep. My lack of sleep led me into a cycle of being so mentally and physically exhausted that I went temporarily psychotic. This song may be about coke, but I can see it reflecting any painful neverending drug experience- or something completely different. I love how music has infinite possibilites for interpretation. :)
