  • this is stupid and awful - see TCP/IP complete Tutorial for the real deal.

  • @antigen4 ok there mr pro.... someone doesn't read descriptions and annotations.... they're there for a reason... In fact, let me summarize them in a sentence for you...

This simulation is not technically accurate but was only constructed for one purpose, and that is to show how packets travel and how they are handled on the devices.

That's it, plain simple. If you can't even understand that, then sure... why not go and see a real and much more complex tutorial? like you said. Feel free.

  • Did you change the icons? If not I'm not impressed since these are (appear to be) all switches... But I'm pretty sure that if you would make something like this today, it would be more advanced and have more than just Switches and Cross over cables? Right...?

  • Hahaha excelent! I know how proud can packet tracer make you feel! ;)

  • background music is cool but not for this video.

  • cheater, using switches and naming them routers :P still really awesome! This also helped me a lot, got my physical exam for my CCNA this Thursday, passed my multiple choice exam last week! rather proud :3 but still, thanks, this was useful :)

  • good video thank you!!! i have a test about this tomorrow

  • Yeah.. the music was really needed. Not.

  • After seeing this, i said f it....i quit.

  • and the coode

  • Seriously Good Job, Keep it up. Atleast i got an idea how the packets/date move in and out in between sender and receiver.

  • @contactravi2000 Thanks, haven't really received any comment in a while who understood what I'm trying to do in this video... heh, maybe they should try reading the description or the stuff I wrote about this that this isn't an actual technically accurate simulation... It's just built to show how the dev-- wait, I don't think I need to explain this over again...

  • @zaghy2zy good work due...now listen i have a project on network simulation and i need ur guidence so give me ur facebook id so that i can talk to u about the project....!!

  • is there a reason for this fucking annoying music. Can people just stop playing this crap

  • Why don't up the level and replace those switches that are routers with actual routers lol

  • theres alot of switches there

  • /user/XICMI#g/c/67087F6B208E09A9

  • This are all switches. Where are the routers? Just because you name them routers doesn't make them routers.

  • Less music more talk!

  • muy bueno...

  • The animation is a decent effort, the music though... how should I put it? politely? Let's say I muted it.

  • any idea on adding 2 nics to a server??

  • damn ur so good im starting to learn about this sh*t.......hope u have a tutorial

  • You did a very nice job creating this video. The music is a bit intense, but it kept me awake, so that is not an entirely bad thing. Good job man. Don't be so hard on yourself about the mistakes. they are minor and did not really affect the video at all.

  • O.o Im a little confused what the purpose of the video is but ok... Interesteting to say the least.

  • that sure is a network simulation? I know that there is no data collision is better to use routers that would be better

  • that sure is a network simulation? I know that there is no data collision is better to use routers that would be better

  • hmm, how to create those simulations with delays or interval? from user 1 to user 2 etc etc..? hehe

  • In simulation mode, you just go to the time frame when you want to fire the packet...

  • the music is great! what band is that?

  • Very bad music (noise) turn it off.

  • yes rather disgusting music... interesting video though

  • Is it possible to connect two wireless routers together using packet tracer,i have no idea how to do it i understand WDS needs to be enabled, but in the router config it isnt there, and when i try to connect a wirless computer to it using a straight through cable it doesnt connect.

  • well there gonna need to be on the same channel, although I can't see why you would want to do that, explain?

  • Well, i attempted to connect two routers together wirelessly in my house so i wouldnt have to use a wirless adapter, using the router will speed up the network connection i tried everything and it wouldnt work, so i wanted to simulate it on packet tracer to see how its done.

  • Are you configuring the routers? The two wireless routers should be on the same network with the same subnet mask. Try making the first router 192.168.1.1 and the second router 192.168.1.2 and the subnet masks should be 255.255.255.0. I dont know if theres anything else you have to configure I havent used packet tracer in almost a year and my networking is a little rusty.

  • Annoying music, cheap video

  • I want to simulate wireless sensor networks with Zigbee technology. From what I start, if there are any examples?

  • CISCO CCNA/CCENT ICND1 640.822 NEW BOOK BY Mr THAAR AL_TAIEY

    Youtube faristhaar

  • try ccnp...lol

  • Yes, I will.....

  • Where that hell are the Routers???????? C'mon you can do better than that on Packet Tracer.... In scale od 0-10 Idea - 0 music -10

  • I know.... well, I gotta learn it yet..... lol

    just didn't have time to...

  • you dont know what are Routers????? Man for your good die

  • if you don't have anything constructive to say, you need to get a life.... I do suppose you have read the other comments and my responses right?

plus, I KNOW WHAT ROUTERS ARE AND HOW TO WORK WITH THEM

This was an OLD video so if you do mind.... get a life

  • I make reply on rogeruk2000

  • Oh, sorry about that then.....

    lol, my bad

  • no problems ;:) it is good video :)

  • @zaghy2zy You did a very nice job creating this video. The music is a bit intense, but it kept me awake, so that is not an entirely bad thing. Good job man. Don't be so hard on yourself about the mistakes. they are minor and did not really affect the video at all.

  • lol, simple layer 2 network, no routers, no fun :-)

  • Well, yeah, I pretty much know that, hahaha, I wanted to learn how to config the routers...

  • That was awesome music! What is it?

  • Check Information at the right, I've updated it so that people don't need to ask :)

even though I've placed the information about it at the end credits... because some people like me don't watch end credits.... hahaha honestly, I RARELY watch end credits, hahahaha but some people watch it so I've decided to add it anyways...

  • ima have to say may god forgive you for what you said also

  • Maybe you should turn ON your sarcasm detector!

  • You should really learn how to configure routers.. Nice worldwide switching network!

  • yeah, I should, hahaha I'm planning to attend CCNA soon, hahah to learn these stuff....

and yeah, if the internet was full of switches this would be an example, hahaha,

  • What is the music used?

  • cool

  • thanks

  • This really looks like a stupid LAN too me..

  • may god forgive you for what you said

  • What were you smoking when you decided to model the Internet using a collection of switches!

  • As I said, i wasn't good at this and this wasn't an accurate or even close to the real thing....

    please read the description pleas?

  • zaghy2zy still did a good job with the sim no matter what protocols the sim used.

Basically, the idea was to have others understand packet switching, (it still shows packet interaction at least at the layer 2 device level).

Just consider it as intranet transmission instead of internet.

Cut a guy some slack. It's still a cool sim.

    :)

  • Yeah.. Fair play. I still watched the whole vid :) PacketSim is a nightmare to work with anyway, you got further than I ever could be bothered to!

  • now version 5.0 is available

  • Wait, hold up a sec.

You're using switches instead of routers!

    LOL

But still, great sim. More than what I did with Packet Tracer...

  • I am aware of that,...

I used switches just to simulate a sample "not even real" internet, so please pardon me for the technical mistakes

  • Correction: SMTP...

Err... sorry. Maybe the envelopes represent the IP packet ideology.

    ;)

  • The software is okay.

PRO: Great in understanding OSI lower layer device interactions, including routers' modules and NVRAM/CLI commands.

CON: Not all protocols and commands are available for configuration.(Darn...)

    Overall, it's pretty swank software.

By the way, zaghy2zy, nice SMTP simulation!

  • I tried once this software, but honestly nothing worked ;), I think I should attend CCNA course before!

  • simulação fraca

  • next time if u want to show something, please show the configuration on how u made it..

dun just show how packet travels! its nothing to understand and interesting from your video.

    Its too easy!~

  • what protocols did you use for the devices?

  • nah, it was just like a simple LAN, if you look carefully I just used switches...... XD

  • ic ic thx

  • since they are using e-mail, they would be using POP, post office protocol, as well as TCP/IP for transport,i not sure, but i think the letters that were sent twice represent ACKs for the transport.

  • hey dude i have the new if you want pm is free k

  • cisco e fantastico
