You what you have to love about the Roots, every time you hear them perform a song (especially this one) its always a new experience, even if the song is 10 years old.

@Sweetiethemane222 Thats what im saying this whole time im thinking it just came out, but i see it says 1999 lol thats crazy and yea who the hell is that girl lmaoooo she did ok but Badu would have killed it i came just to see her sing that hook live lml and this nobody chick is on here lol
@skoops91 Her name is Chezere and she toured with The Roots during their European Things Fall Apart tour. It seems like there was some kind of glitch with her mic, because you can't hear her properly which is a total shame!
saw them 4th of july in philadelphia. me and my friend were dressed as ben franklin and george washington. the roots were definitely a highlight of the weekend!!!!!
@maddenjc19 Yeah, I reckon the same thing. Very few drummers have Questlove's innate sense of rhythm and musical know-how. He never overplays because he never needs to. Peace.
Check out an artist from Toronto by the name of Kaydee. He flipped The Roots "What They Do" and turned it into a crazy concept. The song is called Quick Plug

Black Thought should do a Solo CD his band is one of the reasons why he hasn't made more Money in the Rap game. Collectively they have made music that can't be compared to but at the end of the day how many ways can you Split the Pie!
I actually heard that he is planning on coming out with one. I heard it might be very similar to Gnarls Barkeley. But you never know, shit happens, plans change. And I don't think you're right about the band not being why he doesn't make alot of money. In fact, the best artists and groups are about the music, not the money. That's why they never spit the bitches & hoes bullshit.
Gnarles Barkeley? I hope not cause I dont think Blackthought can sing. Yeah your right about the Roots never spittin about hoes and bitches. into a kinda, messy backbeat on the backlinee.
