Thank you for posting this beautiful soundtrack. So beautiful, haunting. The Descent is my all time fav movie. Just listening to this breaks my heart. When I listen to this..... I think of Sarah running to the car. The woods, beautiful, green, the birds singing.... & her dead friends are below that same wilderness in HELL. So heartbreaking! Thank you for posting. I love it!

The Descent seemed so real afterwards that every time I hear music similar to this I just begin bawling I felt SO bad for the girls it's not even funny. Just something about it seemed too real. The cave, the forest, the events happening. Its so beautiful yet so terrifying and sad. I really wanted to jump into the cave and help them that bad.

one of the best thriller movies i have seen last years, and i've seen a lot. David Julyan made a tremendous score here, ambient music at its best, if you like the feel, please try Prestige or Memento

The score really reminds you how much you feel for the characters, that's what makes the movie blend with the score so well. This score is emotionally depressing, but beautiful at the same time. I must say this is one of the best horror movies i've ever seen. Without the score, this movie wouldn't have been what it was. I love this music it's so haunting and has left an impact on me. I can't think about this film without remembering this amazing music.

Ive never seen the movie, but Im hooked on the music. Im checking this out strictly due to great word of mouth and this music. I can tell the director has a more emotional and delicate approach on horror hearing this.

This doesnt assualt your ears like typical horror films with its electronic noises and all other so-called forms of "music" that forces tension out of you. This pulls on your heart strings, varying from sadness to fright, leading to whats needed most - Emotional Investment

This was a well-made, harrowing film that has stayed with me since I watched it several weeks ago. The score by David Julyan was a big part of what made it work. A score by anyone else simply wouldn't have been appropriate. There's a certain brand of melancholy that Julyan creates with his music, and the hopeless situation in which the characters find themselves is brilliantly evoked in his score.

hahah The strange thing is... Me and my girlfriend were watching this movie... And We were cuddling and then She looked at me and asked me if i will ever leave her and i said.. Never in my hole life will i ever leave you sweetheart... Then she held me. And this movie was over. The final seven or eight minutes of this film are absolutely breathtaking. The scene with Sarah covered in blood and scrambling up the mountain of bones towards the sunlight (5:20 onwards on this track) is one of those movie images that's going to haunt me for a long, long time.

Love the soundtrack.........it plays throughout the movie, but like you said, when she's climbing up the mountain of bones....they amplify it. I haven't heard of The Prestige (didn't see the movie) however Memento and The Descent are VERY different.

You can tell its by Julyan but thats because each composer leaves has a trademark (kind of like how some people can tell if a painting is by Leonardo Da Vinci or Michaelangelo)
