@Beamswordu It's not really an MSX anymore, though. It's a new age laptop... I just hope they don't change too much in regards to the puzzles and difficulty.
A couple things I saw that seemed amiss was at 2:58 the energy wall lost the effect on the upper-left portion. The spikes shortly after didn't tile all that nicely with the celling. Finally, the being hit invisibility seemed to last to long, or it didn't flicker enough. There was more but I don't feel like going on and on about it, besides the most important one was the invisibility one (IMO). With that said I'm really looking forward to this game
@MintEou That's a common effect when recording video off a game. If the game makes the invisibility effect happen by flickering your character on and off every other frame, and your screen-capture is only recording every other frame, you either get fully-visible or fully-invisible in the video. It's like taking video of an old-school CRT TV-- you get black bands because of differences in frame rate.
@cirnet The banding on recorded images of CRTs isn't caused by a frame rate difference, it's a refresh rate difference and the fact that the picture is interlaced.
@TriggerheartExcelica I oversimplified a bit, yes-- "frame rate" and "refresh rate" aren't QUITE the same thing, but the difference really is just semantic. It has nothing to do with interlacing, though; take video of a non-interlaced CRT computer monitor and you'll see the same black bands.
@NamoNakamura Knowing nintendo, one of the obvious reasons it was rejected may have been the (accurately) unclothed female statues later in the game. You know Nintendo and censorship.
@ZarroTsu Oh wow, long time no see, ZarroTsu. How've you been?
I dunno about the whole censorship thing. There've been exposed breasts in recent Nintendo games, like Castlevania. Plus given how Nintendo's lightened up since the Gamecube days, I can't help but chalk the rejection up to thinking its a "bad investment" on their end due to the (however minor) language barrier. Or maybe it's too hard or something.
@NamoNakamura Games on Nintendo platforms usually don't fail the approval process strictly because of content (hence why buggy and crappy games are still released) - it's mostly because the game isn't as compatible with the hardware as it should be.
@TheRealBoxman I've heard that games can fail approval due to a simple oversight -- possibly forgetting to write a system call a very specific way, text not wrapping like it should, etc. Nintendo approved Manhunt 2, so there shouldn't be any problem with censorship with them. Such issues are to be taken up with the ESRB, anyway.

Bleh, I hate the fact that stuff like that has to get cut to make sure the game doesn't get a stupidly high age rating.....
That was one of the creepiest moments in the original game, imo.

BEST GAME EVER IMMINENT. Also, I'm guessing the delay has to do with Nintendo's wiiware space constraints.

The game failed aproval because it's not beatable without a guide. Deal with it nigoro.

@Poneglyph And where the fuck did you get this info? Because Nigoro certainly didn't release anything even resembling a statement like that.

@5:48 Nu Wa?
Considering that she was rather significant with the plot, it's kinda sad that she was a rather easy miniboss. Nice to see she's gotten an upgrade.

Just goes to show what I don't know. Anyways I just wonder if it actually flickers or not. I would assume it does.

The worst part? Nintendo rejected it on its first submission. Took Cave Story about 3(?) resubmissions for them to finally accept it.
