  • Hey Tony...a fellow house music-lover on Facebook sent this video to me...and yes, you definitely still got it! I used to kick it over in Jersey in the late 80's and early 90's at places like Bogie's, Club 88 and Club America, and then found a 'home away from home' in NYC at Club Shelter from 1997 to 2005. Good to know that the appreciation of good ol' foot-stompin' old school house is alive and well!

  • DOOOPE!

  • God bless you broher... I love watching this video! Every time I see this I end up listening to old house songs.

  • @lheran001 - I DJ'd today on the Asbury Park boardwalk, in NJ.. and once again, I got from behind my speakers and started to break it down for all the younger kids to see. Believe me, at this point, it takes a toll.

  • You ain't seen me yet. I was lottin' at Soulgasm last night, and I'm 50. Say avp0713, you've got a nice pedigree, here's mine: Leviticus, Starship Discovery 1, Town House 48, Infinity, The Loft, Electric Circus, Xanadu & Bobby McGee's - Tokyo, (then) Bond's, Paradise Garage (mbr), The Palladium, Area, The Tunnel, The Choice, Sound Factory (mbr), Shelter (mbr). Deliberately went to the Fun House once wearing my Garage t shirt, and got razzed for it. Ah, the good old days of the "club wars", LOL.

  • I haven't watched this in like over a year, and it's still as great and funny as the firs time. I have a friend who dances this exact same way to classic house. Good job, Tony.

  • hahaah word*

  • Yeah Brother ya got it going on!

    Way to show em!

Have fun in life and in everything you do, God Bless.

  • That's SO REAL, made me feel good for that moment thanks. HOUSE FOR LIFE!

  • Most of the so called "house dancing" i see today is nothing more then watered down bboying. No flow, no style and swagger. THIS right here how Tony is getting down, is house dancing to me. Stylish, flowing and smooth...along with DANCING ON BEAT. Thanks for the vid!

  • OMG, Bentley's and the Funhouse! Talk about going way back. Go 'head on and do yo stuff, Tony!

  • amazing! I hope your daughter is learning your moves! Keep on jamming.

  • Tony I feel ya. I missed those days at the club dancing old school house music. Keep on dancing.

  • Because us old guys can STILL get down! I saw you doing a little Colonel Abrams step in there!

House Music ALL Night Long, say WHAT?

  • You're the only one that noticed it. Apparently no one else has seen him in person. I saw him at the Copa (60th&5th) when he first came out, and then I saw him again 2 summers ago on the 98.7 KissFM boat ride around NYC!! He was still kickin it!!!

  • I was a little too young to sneak into the clubs, although I did manage to hit Sound Factory back before it started to suck. I'm old enough to remember the video for Trapped, and I still have my copy of the 12" somewhere around. KissFM....ok, now I'm homesick.

  • I saw a brazilian guy in my gym dancing just like you!

    Every same move!

  • This is wicked!!! Show us how its done!!!

  • you know I did my thang right? When I dance I feel like the whole world is watchin!! so I dance like i'm on TV!!!! Then when I see it on video, all I can do is laugh!!

  • AWSOME DUDE!!!!!

  • This was great! You took me back to when I would listen to this and dance. You still have all of the moves. Great dancing! Thanks!

  • i found it, Colonel Abrams - Music is the Answer.. i almost forgot about Bentleys, i use to go there..

  • ...I used to be at Bentley's every week on Friday or Saturday night. I favored going to more black-oriented clubs like Pegasus, Leviticus, Justines, Down-Under, even some after hour spots up in Harlem. I always found Bentleys to be the best spot.

  • I think what i liked about Bentleys was the crowd of some fun people that new how to party. Yea i remember those clubs. me and my friends tried to hit different clubs like roseland, paladium, 1018, funhouse earlier years tunnel, gothams, red parrot and so on. I don't know how i went out 5 days a week from 15 till 30 LOL I could never do tht now. You move pretty good though.i probably can't move like tht now.I remember trying to breakdance so forget it.I have top rocked before centuries ago LOL :)

  • ... I was also in the "hustle" crowd; on those nites I used to hang at LaBamba, Copa, Roseland, 231, UncleSams, Marco's, Funhouse, and in BKLYN, and Queens; Lemon Tree, Pastels.... I was really big into the Hustle... used to hang with Eddie and Lisa - you probably remember them, if not, search Youtube

  • Yes i remember they use to dance, wow you're just taking me back. I found lots of old disco's and was going nuts on youtube. I remember all those clubs, wow i had forgot about lemon tree and pastels. Its just not like it use to be, i think that era was the best. After the clubs we would hit coney island and sleep on the beach LOL I lived in Coney and all over brooklyn.

  • ... yes, we used to hang at like 7th street beach in Brighton!!! That was a whole different set of friends that I had. Also, we used to hustle on the cement boardwalk at Manhattan beach..and Sundays in Central Park at the Fountain, all the BBoys with the boomboxes lined up!!! doin the waybooo!!!

  • hehehe the weebbooo pants, remember those? lol yes i use to party in bay 6 to 7th in brighton when they use to have the big speakers on the beach. those were the days. Well that was the same crowd i use to see in roseland on thursday nights. I remember the crowd at the fountain too with all the music wow take me back please LOL

  • its me chinita i'm on my other account LOL

  • Yeah, weeboo!! girls with the cut-up colorful t-shirts and the creases sewn-into the jeans; those were the days...

  • hehehe yea the cut up shirts but every one just looked so cool LOL i loved the weeboo pants. could you imagine wearing those now? hehehe my teens would die :) I remember shaving my hair on the sides becasue people use to say i looked like lisa lisa back then. I was grouned forever LOL
