you sure still got it, House Music never leaves the soul.... I use to kick to all them clubs you mention. oh how I remember ones, use to go ther right after gotham west. Great Dancer! thanks for the video brought me back way back!!!!
i love it that was so cool.....the days we remember....if only these kids knew how much fun we had without conflict.....they would stop all this silliness that happens out here.
This has happened more than once! Wife comes home from work, sees me almost in tears and goes from "oh my god, who died?" to shaking her head saying "are u watchin' the Tony Old School Video again, what is wrong with you??" She doesn't understand!! I remember back in '92, free concerts, 98.7 "Kissing at Lunch". Colonel Abrams Live, at the foot of the World Trade (r.i.p.), mid-summer, going back to Lehman Bros., drenched and wacked from goin' nuts to the Colonel!! Great times!! great video!!!
Ha Ha RIGHT! I CAN DIG THAT YOU CATS ON THE EAST COAST DID IT A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENTLY THAN WE IN CHICAGO DID IT. WE LOVED TO JACK IT UP BUT EVEN STILL IT IS HOUSE DANCING PEACE TO YOU & THE REST OF THE OLD SCHOOL!

Yo Tony, you knocked another one out tha park. You've still got that house feelin'. Younstas these days don't know nothin' about this right here. Thank you for keeping it alive. Peace!
I love seing your videos. Your music takes me back to my high school and young adult years. Your energy is just amazing and it is obvious that music and dance are very important to you. You make me get my lazy butt up and dance along. I hope you will dance forever.
I love it bro! You still got it!! You bring back some memories. You said you DJ in NJ. Where at? If you're spinning old school like this, I have to come check it out.
@adesan69 - I'll be spinnin at "The Office" restaurant/bar in Summit, NJ tomorrow evening 8pm till. . . no cover... if you're in the area, stop on in... its casual... I don't know if people there are "dancers" they might be "listeners"..
Hey Tony...a fellow house music-lover on Facebook sent this video to me...and yes, you definitely still got it! I used to kick it over in Jersey in the late 80's and early 90's at places like Bogie's, Club 88 and Club America, and then found a 'home away from home' in NYC at Club Shelter from 1997 to 2005. Good to know that the appreciation of good ol' foot-stompin' old school house is alive and well!
@lheran001 - I DJ'd today on the Asbury Park boardwalk, in NJ.. and once again, I got from behind my speakers and started to break it down for all the younger kids to see. Believe me, at this point, it takes a toll.
Now that is one funny video what a mover .I have to take you out for a beer mate im 42 and feelin it. Come to ESSEX IN THE U.K AND THE BEERS ON ME.!!!!!!!!
OMG Im so feeling you Tony, all the moves the beats YES YES. We pralee danced togetha at the Patadise Garage ! OMG Tony that step you do at 1:02 lolol why do we still do that til this day ! HOLLA. I have to send this to all my girls because this is us! And your shoulder moves @ 1:18 YES YES !Even up to baby girl tell you to turn it down, my kids just dont get it either !
@Honymolasiz - This is old school for sure..... runnin around NYC, goin to the clubs, 111's, Gothams!, Loft. . . lol Palladium's, Copa, so many!!! we prolly danced a few times together! The new kids think they doin something that hasn't been done before!!!
So that is old school housing my mom used to do that every time played an older house track I just thought it was her little thing but she told that how they used to do it back in chicago before they added the new steps in housing wow nice
wow i was just talking about how house dancing has changed and how i love the old school housing and this video is EXACTLY what i meant. hell yea man! props!
You ain't seen me yet. I was lottin' at Soulgasm last night, and I'm 50. Say avp0713, you've got a nice pedigree, here's mine: Leviticus, Starship Discovery 1, Town House 48, Infinity, The Loft, Electric Circus, Xanadu & Bobby McGee's - Tokyo, (then) Bond's, Paradise Garage (mbr), The Palladium, Area, The Tunnel, The Choice, Sound Factory (mbr), Shelter (mbr). Deliberately went to the Fun House once wearing my Garage t shirt, and got razzed for it. Ah, the good old days of the "club wars", LOL.
YO CUZ!! we might of party together!! LOL...You got Larry Levan flavor in you!!!...you are a true househead by looking all the clubs you went. i lost mind several times at Copa, 1018, Roselands!...keep young cuz!...I can tell you sure partied many nights at NYC!
I haven't watched this in like over a year, and it's still as great and funny as the firs time. I have a friend who dances this exact same way to classic house. Good job, Tony.
Most of the so called "house dancing" i see today is nothing more then watered down bboying. No flow, no style and swagger. THIS right here how Tony is getting down, is house dancing to me. Stylish, flowing and smooth...along with DANCING ON BEAT. Thanks for the vid!
You're the only one that noticed it. Apparently no one else has seen him in person. I saw him at the Copa (60th&5th) when he first came out, and then I saw him again 2 summers ago on the 98.7 KissFM boat ride around NYC!! He was still kickin it!!!
I was a little too young to sneak into the clubs, although I did manage to hit Sound Factory back before it started to suck. I'm old enough to remember the video for Trapped, and I still have my copy of the 12" somewhere around. KissFM....ok, now I'm homesick.
you know I did my thang right? When I dance I feel like the whole world is watchin!! so I dance like i'm on TV!!!! Then when I see it on video, all I can do is laugh!!
u still got bro, my kids do me the same way, i se u still got those footworks. i got me some 98.7 kiss master mix tony humphries 1989 last weekend of. i'm jammin
I am originally from Chicago, so I know all about OLD SKOOL JACKIN. Aint nothin like a whole club jackin out old skool style. Right there is how me and my 7 year old and my entire friends dance at the club, hit me up sometime on yahoo (smichaels0117) or AIM (deephousegirl76)
Nice one Tony! I never got to experience the Loft or the Garage but I used to go to Red Zone, Marrs, The World, The Tunnel, Webster Hall and even the Pyramid. HOUSE IS A FEELING!
This truly reminds me of myself and the days of the "Red Zone", "Palladium", "Studio 54", "The Tunnel" and the "Roxy". I have decided that no matter how old I become, house music will live in my heart forever!
tony, can't stand these other "house dancing" clips...got to come back to when the dancing was real, spiritual and soulful - from one old skool to another!
...I used to be at Bentley's every week on Friday or Saturday night. I favored going to more black-oriented clubs like Pegasus, Leviticus, Justines, Down-Under, even some after hour spots up in Harlem. I always found Bentleys to be the best spot.
I think what i liked about Bentleys was the crowd of some fun people that new how to party. Yea i remember those clubs. me and my friends tried to hit different clubs like roseland, paladium, 1018, funhouse earlier years tunnel, gothams, red parrot and so on. I don't know how i went out 5 days a week from 15 till 30 LOL I could never do tht now. You move pretty good though.i probably can't move like tht now.I remember trying to breakdance so forget it.I have top rocked before centuries ago LOL :)
... I was also in the "hustle" crowd; on those nites I used to hang at LaBamba, Copa, Roseland, 231, UncleSams, Marco's, Funhouse, and in BKLYN, and Queens; Lemon Tree, Pastels.... I was really big into the Hustle... used to hang with Eddie and Lisa - you probably remember them, if not, search Youtube
Yes i remember they use to dance, wow you're just taking me back. I found lots of old disco's and was going nuts on youtube. I remember all those clubs, wow i had forgot about lemon tree and pastels. Its just not like it use to be, i think that era was the best. After the clubs we would hit coney island and sleep on the beach LOL I lived in Coney and all over brooklyn.
... yes, we used to hang at like 7th street beach in Brighton!!! That was a whole different set of friends that I had. Also, we used to hustle on the cement boardwalk at Manhattan beach..and Sundays in Central Park at the Fountain, all the BBoys with the boomboxes lined up!!! doin the waybooo!!!
hehehe the weebbooo pants, remember those? lol yes i use to party in bay 6 to 7th in brighton when they use to have the big speakers on the beach. those were the days. Well that was the same crowd i use to see in roseland on thursday nights. I remember the crowd at the fountain too with all the music wow take me back please LOL
hehehe yea the cut up shirts but every one just looked so cool LOL i loved the weeboo pants. could you imagine wearing those now? hehehe my teens would die :) I remember shaving my hair on the sides becasue people use to say i looked like lisa lisa back then. I was grouned forever LOL

i found it, Colonel Abrams - Music is the Answer.. i almost forgot about Bentleys, i use to go there..

...I used to be at Bentley's every week on Friday or Saturday night.
