During immigration process, many people get married or for any reason families separate for first time. The advertise is nice. They care about families. However via sponsorship the process may last two years without letting your family coming to visit you. Even in jail you would get visits. From personal experience I saw that many marriages break during that process. my own case. My son didn´t deserve all the pain they caused him for not letting him even to visit me. BTW= I am not black. Im a proud Hispanic (and Canadian citizen) that has been living in Canada since 2000. I have a Bachelors Degree from the University of Western Ontario and I am working towards my SSW diploma this year. Ignorance is what has Canada stuck in the socioeconomic limbo we are now. The path towards eradicating stereotyping and racial profiling that continues to limit the advancement of Canada begins with awareness and honesty. Think about it.

This results in media coverage focusing in the apparently "high rates" of crime committed by black people, which in turn results in the communitys belief that blacks are more aggressive, and most likely to commit crimes than the white population. If the police focus in all community members without prejudice, the results in arrest and detentions would be very different as would be the media coverage!

Canada cannot afford any more immigrants from the third world. Our social programs are financially broke, our welfare system has as many people as it can handle. Immigration has been good for Canada "in moderation", but the excessive immigration over the past three decades has actually destroyed the quality of life here. All immigration should be stopped until we can bring our unemployment rate down to about 3%.
The crime we've imported from Jamaica is also a problem in Toronto.

Hello 1Vane323 - As former employee of the City of Toronto, I am fully aware of how much it costs to support Jamaican welfare mamas, and their scores of fatherless children. Or, the cost of legal aid lawyers and imprisoning thousands of Jamaican gang members. I am white, my wife is an imported oriental, and yes my children have flat noses and slanted eyes. Hello 1Vane323 - Toronto does not have a "Black Problem", Canada does not have a "Black problem". The problem is with one paticular nationality "which happens to be black". It is unfortunate that black people in general suffer from the behaviour of Jamaican gangs. Most people living in Toronto realize that most black people are not violent criminals, and that Jamaican gangs are responsible for almost all gun related crimes. I am prejudiced towards violent criminals, you are correct.

Hi kko75 - Did you know that over 65% of all Jamaican females who have immigrated to Canada are on welfare, and they have up to six "fatherless" children each. That is why they are called "Welfare Mama's". With so many children, they get a four bedroom townhouse in government housing, huge baby bonus cheques, on top of the top rate of welfare, plus free TTC passes, food bank memberships, free dental work, free eye glasses, and the list goes on. White people have lost their jobs to immigrants.

I think all immigrants need to do their research before trying to come to Canada and whatever their degrees many of immigrants have trouble speaking a single sentence of English , immigrants come here they'll need to change ,do not expect Canadians to change . the guy with 4500 applications must be sitting in front of computer emailing not going out and networking , each and every one of my peers who came here have a good job . I tried really hard to find a job in canada. Those white canadians treated me like trash, acting like the job was too complex for me, and casting doubt to my resume. Being called a lier is very painful, especially when you need the job to survive.
Canadians are such pathetic losers.
When I moved to the states, I got six job offers in a month, and I really had trouble deciding which offer to take.

yes this is really sad! I am one of them and I'm already thinking of leaving canada to try in another country. I love canada but it doesn't seem like I have a good future here. Canada is not a very ideal place to immigrate until the gov't at least try to do something about it. All the programs that they have right now doesn't make sense at all if we can't practice. What we need is a program for each profession that will allow us to practice and feel that we are welcome and needed here!
