I think this game was seriously underrated by FF fans. This game actually pulled me into the series. Without this game, I wouldn't have gone back and played X, VII, or VIII. The characters have a lot of depth and the story is uniquely told. The game is through Vaan's eyes but you could say that Ashe is the real main character. And I liked how the ending was narrated by Penelo, who wasn't integral in the story. It tied everything together. This song is amazing btw.

Kiss Me Goodbye always gives me a bittersweet feeling. Happy that the conflict is resolved, but sad that it's over. 12 is one of my favorite games, and that would cause many a FF fan to rage. I started with 10, and have played every numbered, non-mmo game aside from the very first; 12 is just fun. And as I've matured, I've come to appreciate the politically heavy story. Still not as good as 9 or 6, but I love it! Another shocker: FF7 is one of my least favorites, beaten by all but 2 & 3!

Wonderful ♥ But I'm still wondering why other songs from FFXII were never performed. (I know that the Eminence Symphony Orchestra has already performed "Penelo's Theme" and "Clan Headquarters" but I've never seen it) They should make the "Theme of the Empire", the "Ending" theme, or other many beautiful songs composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto... This would be perfect, really. I don't like to think that my favourite FF doesn't seem to be as important as the others.

The game wasn't bad but somehow I just could not get into it. I played it all the way through the first time, but every other attempt at playing it failed halfway through. I think it was the politics theme. And that the audio quality of the english voice acting sounded like they all slightly covered their mouths while talking. It sounded too much like STUDIO and did not blend in with the environments. That bugged me, but this has nothing to do with the game itself, just with the US voiceover.

I remember watching this thinking, "She performs similar to Sarah Mclachlan." Turns out, Angela was inspired by Sarah's Mirrorball concert to pursue her career in music. It's amazing how this inspiration unlocked Angela's wonderful talent. It's extremely rare for someone to be able to have such vocal control and strength matched to a veteran vocalist. Could listen to this forever.

FFXII is one my favorite FF games. I love how the game was a break from usual FF stories like "main hero falls in love with main heroine, SAVE THE PLANET HOORAH!" I think thats what the makers had in mind for FFXII.

Best 60 dollars I spend that Christmas.

You're being too hard on the game. It's different; a lot, and I think that started the conflict between old fans and the newer players. The old fans say, "What the HELL is this?!" And the new guys say, "Finally. Something DIFFERENT." The company's attempt to please everyone, (luring in new crowds) overlooks the old crowd's reaction.

Fact is, FF is STILL the best. Can't we be happy that it's lasted so long and is still buying newcomers? Maybe I'm wrong, but so? It's just a game.

@TYV29 I think the opposite is true. I started the series with VII, which makes me a newer fan, technically. The reason it defines what a new and old fan is is that, while it appealed to many new people, most of the new fans that stuck were Japan-ophiles which liked it for it's dark, cool, anime factor. The series, since then has been catering more toward them with the only acceptions being 9 and 12. XII made older fans a breath of fresh air followed by a sigh a relief. New fans raged.

I have heard rumors (I don't know if its true or not, so don't flame, I am just saying what I heard) that the FF-12 that was released only contained 1/2 of the actual story. If that is the truth, then it would most likely be that the original version actually had one hell of a story, with no lapses in the story, nor a...hm...lets say abrupt ending.

i agree. the last great FF was FF10. the sequel was eh. FF7's sequels and prequels I haven't played yet, but for sure FF12 is eh. Stunning graphics, the best ever on the PS2, but everything after that is just mediocre. only memorable characters are Balthier and Fran. The only good songs was that intro song and this ending song.

FF12 would have been better if only Matsuno didn't become ill halfway through the development.
