Belt or chain drive, what gearbox are you using for your tanaka. how long did it take you to fabricate the Atomic Zombie. any thoughts to put a velo fairing on it?
I have to say that to add such a motor would be an advantage for long distance bicycle rides. But, at the the same time. You've defeated the purpose of what the bike was built for. To promote the availablity to get exercise.
@zawest2000 Have you ever road a motorized bike before? I get plenty of exercise ridding my bike. Just go to many more places, than if it was not motorized. You can pedel as much as you want to, just lay of the gas lever when ever you feel like it.
@zawest2000 Cagers and roadies complain that motor bicycling is somehow "cheating" but it's harder than it looks! Cagers don't think you have a right to the road, and roadies try to run us off the road too. They won't even wave. I bet they wouldn't do that to someone on a horse.

Nah Im just kidding I love this video I want a bike like that. It'd be perfectly street legal as long as you have a drivers license and had a license plate on that bitch. Just like a bicycle with a motor over 50 cc you need a motorcycle license/endorsement and a license plate.
I think I'll take my chances traveling in sync with my fellow travelers. I think my odds of suving the casual bike ride is greatly increased. Most people are curious to see such an different way of traveling, that I am very visable to them. And less likely to become a statistic.
Is it more safe to travel at street speeds, while riding on streets. Or to become a trffic hazard going 10, 20, 30mph or so slower than the average driver on todays rodes? How many times has a bicyclest been ran over and killed because a driver has been distracted, for what ever reason, only to walk away scott free?

Like anything else they have there pro's, and con's on weather they should be allowed on public streets, or anywhere else for that matter.

Pedleing under your own power is doable, but it's best to remove the belt from the Golden Eagle Bike Engine drive, to eliminate the small amount of drag created by it. Have never had so much fun on any bike before this, makes you want to go out and get some exersize.
Great looking bike! I'm guessing that if you got the plans from "AtomicZombie" that you built this yourself? Does you bike make use of an 18 or 12 speed gear set up, etc....? How fast have you ever achieved under your own power? I'm considering building one of these myself and adding a gas engine too. My son, son-in-law, and myself added a 49cc to an OCC Chopper Schwinn with great success! I'm wanting the dual use for exercise as well as a little unconventional speed!
I want one... can't afford it. I don't get around much in winter here in BC cuz I don't wanna ride my mountain bike on the icy roads.
