  • Wow, that is pretty sweet, I just saw one yesterday

  • HIIIII, that eclipse is cool

  • There is a Lunar eclipse coming THIS MONDAY! be aware

  • not at all i dont get this the camera man wake up in this time to see the moon turn off

  • why you cuted some video parts when you could just speeded it up ???

  • Why didn't it turn red?

  • @FluffersTheFirst it turned red at 2:37 its hard 2 see

  • ooo, i remember that! i taped it to but it wasnt that good so i didnt upload it. I live in Lapeer to.

  • whoa....great man!..i've never seen an eclipse before......haha =)

  • i was watching this from my house in LApeer michigan/metamora-

  • We had clouds in Perth :( I couldnt see it:(

  • i lived in lapeer too

  • the one at my house wasn't like this one 4 some reason im in NY

  • dude everybody on the east coast and look out your window theres a lunar eclipse on Feb. 20 2008

  • waayy ahead of ya :] its so awesome

  • haha lol i live in Lapeer Michigan

  • this video actually helps prove the lunar landing video is real. it at least makes the argument that "because you can't see stars in it, it must not be in space" invalid. because i see no stars in this video either.

  • Dude sorry to burst your bubble but the SUN,Saturn,Neptune,Uranus,Jupiter, and a close sized planet would be Venus only a bit smaller. The biggest real estate or the " rocky " planets.....

  • Earth just swallowed the moon in sheer size. We should be proud. Its the biggest amount of real estate in the solar system. The moon is nearly comparable to mercury and mars. Gotta love gaia.

  • can i ask u sumthing wat does solar and lunar eclipse means like unlucky ??

  • Right, that makes sense.

  • Talk about the dark side of the moon...

  • the earth is covering the moon from the sun, else people would be seeing the moon covering the sun's rays, which would be when the sun is out, a solar eclipse..

  • not as cool as australia...for us the sun went red yeah baby red and i played a digeridoo and ate a kangaroo when it did that how ya fucken goin gday how r ya mate... fkn rest of world

  • cool!

  • A lunar eclipse occurs whenever the Moon passes through some portion of the Earth's shadow. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partially obscuring Earth's view of the Sun

  • i got this on tape also... in virginia

  • isn't this a solar eclipse? cause i thought a lunar eclipse is when the moon covers the sun 0_o

  • Umm.. that was the moon covering the sun. cos it was dark.. and the sun isn't dark..

  • If it was a solar eclipse, you can still see the sun's rays around the moon.

  • ooooh i see! okay i was kinda confused...i thought the sun was covering the moon.

  • wow. cool

  • very clear.....great shooting

  • Big let down for us from Brisbane Australia - waste of time

  • it turned a red color from where i saw it (pacific NW)

  • i missed that event our place is cloudy(philippines)

  • Where I live(Newcastle,Australia)it went a murky kinda brownish-red and you could still see the outline of it after it was covered.

  • Biggest let down ever.

  • *saw <-- was

  • I was that too!!! but too bad I was alone on my way home from Uni. I live in Gold Coast, Australia.

  • Saw it the other night with my friends. We live in kelowna B.C. It was awesome. Turned all red and junk.

  • i saw that too!! but too bad i was alone on my way home from uni. I live in Gold Coast, Ausralia.

  • We had clouds in Perth :( I didn't see it

  • Omgsh, in Australia it was bright red and you could see almost the whole thing.

  • You know what is there on the far side of the moon, alien bases. It's in my favorites.

  • i saw that last night now to wait till 2011

  • 2011...son of a bitch

    theres heresy, and lunacy

how can I perform a belated occult ritual without a full clip

    you monster

  • Hahahaha too funny

  • fake....just kidding, dont u all love those "experts" that just type "fake" on anything like this.

  • wawh i actually saw one a while back but this one just really captures it.... but you know what they say seeing first hand is the best way to go about it.....

  • i could not see it ,cloudy here too

  • A lunar eclipse will block out the light from the moon then we will fight in darkness. lol

  • lol

  • i dont get whats so interesting about the moon disapearing for a few minutes

  • it might just stay that way..or to learn more about the universe. Studies compared to real facts.

  • i live on lima. It was cloudy and i couldnt see it ;( ;(

  • i cnat believed i missed it and i live in california !!!!1

  • solar is cooler

  • very cool, do you have an iphone too?

  • next total one is going to be in feb. 21, 2008

  • it is good. thx

  • Great job of tracking and holding camera since the moon moves, especially with 20x zoom. That Sony does not have manual shutter to capture the redish color of the dark part of the moon. My Nikon still shots capture the color and complement this great Sony video. Please view Lionheart33026 "Lunar Eclipse"

  • Thanks for showing this because I missed it, and I wanted to see what other people seen.

  • in australia, the eclipse began from bottom to top, rather than from top to bottom as in the video!

    still very aswesome though!!

  • I saw it but it was dark red, looked hella cool, but it wasn't totally eclipsed to me it looked like an evil moon

  • in australia, the moon turned red

  • same in the philippines but it was cloudy here at the country's capital but it was seen very clearly in the southern islands. the last time it happened was 12 years ago.

  • ANY WOLFVERINE COME OUT?

    HAHA..

  • I live in hawaii where the best view of the eclipse can be seen and half of the eclipse on Oahu was all fuzzy we had clouds and rain but TIS SPECTACULAR! MUCH ALOHA

  • Thank you for posting this! Most of the lunar eclipses that I found were from one that occurred in March.

  • Awesome footage. I wish my cam had a telescopic lens ;) Thanks for sharing a significant world event! If more people watched things like this, there'd probably be more peace in the world.

  • At the very end it's like the moon drops off the face of the Earth . . . well . . . you know what I mean. It seems to cease to exist! Amazing footage!

  • Very cool, I fell asleep halfway during the eclipse, so thanks for sharing and posting!

  • camera on telescope? My camcorder could not get this, and did not wake up in time to see the moon turn off.

  • sony digital hi8 w/20X zoom (DCR-TRV350) standard equipment on tripod - they are going for about $200 on ebay these days. thanks for your comments.

  • I only did the dark part, it probably would have worked when it was bright, thanks!

  • I saw the eclipse at about half way in the video last night. IT WAS AMAZING!

  • i wonder if it was complete darkness here

  • it was very strange feeling - the moon was so bright just before this that you could drive with no headlights on, then two hours later total darkness.

  • this is actual footage from this morning's Total Lunar Eclipse shot over a period of about 2 hours.
