The problem Dr. Paul has, in my opinion, is that he usually does very well in straw polls BECUASE his followers FOLLOW him from state to state! Remember how the Grateful Dead & the Rolling Stones fans followed them all over the country? Its the EXACT same thing with Dr. Paul. Thats why his National polls have NEVER been above 15-20%.

@thenewmike2012 that must be why in a recent national poll, when they compared each of the candidates against Obama, Dr. Paul did the best. And have you ever thought people want a change for once? Imagine waking up one day and there not be any more war! Oh no that would be terrible if we saved thousands of soldiers lives who would've died in this Iran war the other 3 candidates want to start.

@lumberjacks22 If that poll is accurate, why is he polling nationally @ 10-15%? He should be @ the top or very close to it. 2) The blood thirsty GOP would NEVER nominated Dr. Paul because of his notion to pull ALL US troops. Sounds nice...completely unrealistic however because we live in a VERY dangerous world today.

@thenewmike2012 that is why he is cutting overseas spending on unnecessary military bases and is instead going to use that money on our national defense at home. Also, even if he isn't ranking in the tops of the polls nationally, he also has to fight against the media who are super biased against him. Oh, and the Maine results aren't even fully in yet and he is expected to win that state. Ron Paul will not go away, he is in it til the end.
