  • why is it so damn hard to find Z Channel, ON and Selectv stuff from LA?? Didn't anyone tape stuff off them back then?? Very little on YT.

  • Bobby Heenan Show theme.

  • They had a pirate read the movie intros since he said 'Rated Arrrrr!'

  • It was channel 52 in Los Angeles.

In the late 70's they started to show soft core porn.

  • Wow

  • That logo at 1:00 reminds me of Turner Program Services.

  • ONTV was also on Channel 64 in Cincinnati.

  • when exactly did ON change to the newer logo (the one that has the N connected to the O)?

because i see some up here that have the 1984 logo that r from 1983!

  • I'm pretty sure the logo was changed in July 1983 - the guide I have for that month is the first one to have the "connected" O-N logo.

  • then people need to re date their videos because many people think that they changed in 1984

  • My Uncle had ONTV,from Wxon in Detroit.

  • when was ontv in detroit?

  • It started in 79 and ended in 83.

  • Myn did too!

  • Reminds me of the "Inside HBO" segments from the same period.

  • Hey, you've got any clips from ONTV during the last month in 1985?

  • Nope, This is the only clip I have

  • good old channel 44! Anybody remember "Thing Theater"? It came on on Sundays (old horror movies)

  • That sounds real familiar. It was something like "Creature Feature", the one with the creepy disco theme song I believe.

  • channel 44, which was ONTV, is now a Telemundo affiliate, owned by NBC/Universal.

  • I totally agree another great ONTV find! Does anyone happen to have a video of WSNS when the left the air and switched to ONTV? It was really cool music and that. WSNS is now switching from the commercial mode to the scrambled mode. It would be great to see that again.

  • I just tonight found the song they played - "Touchdown", by Bob James

  • GREAT FIND! Another memory of WSNS-TV 44 that I can treasure dear to me. Thank you, gtp2day. I actually had the box and watched ONTV on the weekends. Too bad it ended up ruining the format of TV 44 that once was...WSNS-TV 44 CHICAGO: REST IN EVERLASTING PEACE (4-5-1970 to 7-??-1985)

  • I like this,We had A similar service called preview.Cool ratings bump, less creepy than most, thanks to the backround music.
