  • I am a Q.A. Tech for Directv Home Services in Mississippi and I am totally out raged at the comments put on here by so called install techs. First off the worst kind of direcv tech is one that works for a contract company or sub contractors. They do nothing at all up to Directv standards, I installed for 8 years and never failed a quality inspection. Our techs are top notch and that is why our office has the best service in 7 #s in the country. These customers are why we have jobs.

  • i know your type dude...got a house full of dvrs with the hard drive alll maxed out.,whole home, everything directv has to offer. calling directv the minute your tv stops working before realizing its just on the wrong input. your the customers us installers talk trash on every morning. probably pushing 300lbs when youre 5'2. the installer did a shitty job but you gotta show the world? is that all thats going on in your world..a shitty install? haa on to the next douchebag

  • a youtube video on his tv installation...haha

  • i wish that everyone could do this job for at least a few weeks. then they might have a lil respect for the installers.

  • The DirecTV people are in a hurry, so they really don't care about a good quality install. They put a dish on the peak of my roof and ran wires along the top of the roof, across the back and down into entry points drilled into the outer walls. I told them there was already attic wiring they could tap into but their techs are morons. I had to eventually rip out all the coax they had running all over the outside of the house.

  • This looks like great work. I would have done it the same way.

  • Also agree with Chrizzjizz

  • I would never install this way thank god I retired my boots these tech are works every day..they need rest anytime off 6 day work weeks about 70 hrs a week will cause this.. I m glad I let dtv...

  • Actually this was probley done like this because the landlord would not let us drill a hole in the building so it was either run the cable like this or tell them that we couldn't do anything for them. Yes I would agree that this looks very bad I would hate to leave a job like this however if this is the only option and thats what the customer wants then its their choice not ours to make.

    Ted-Directv Installation Tech

  • In house that SHITTY...does it even really matter?? LOL

  • @billyhigdon and by the way, these techs have to be certified to install...even contractors...I'm not saying its rocket science but they know what they need to...quit being cheap and then you'll get the "work done right"

  • @billyhigdon Fuck you! I did that type of hardass work for almost 2 years while I was on school--free installation is for one goddamn room not all this custom shit. And direct tv does not reimburse you for that expensive wire...this poor bastard prob did it like this for free, just because he wanted to help...even tho he probably had many more work orders still to come...call direct tv to install that line and see how much that costs...but don't complain about getting a hanging wire for free

  • i work for cable company & if i was to leave a job like this id be on road to write up country

  • This is what free is,You dont want to pay for custom charges, then you get what you get. These installers/techs have to pay their bills as well.I side with the DTV tech.

  • Uhhh, wouldnt it be easier to do it along the ground or under the gutter? i dont know how they would install it but it seems more complicated in the video lol

  • what a shitty video......and even shittier camera.....why can I hear the zoom???

  • Whats the problem? for it being a FREE install, that didnt look half bad, if you paid this guy cash (custom charges) then you have a right to complain, we as directv contractors have to supply the wire (which isnt cheap) and that was a lot of wire, DTV pays us $15 a line ran, do the math on the time it took him to run this and how many feet he used, would you run that line for $15? If so, come work for me I will pay you $4.00 an hour

  • @kcaudiofxdotcom hate the customers like that

  • @kcaudiofxdotcom

He has a right to complain anyways you ignorant fuck. The installation maybe free, but it comes with the package and should be done in a professional manner. The amount of wire doesn't matter, if you use more then usual Direct TV should reimburse you for it. You Direct TV installers are all the same, you ride around for a few days with some hack who shows you what to do and then you act like professional electricians. Go to school and learn how to do things right.

  • well how do u want him to go threw yo house thats not even yo house its an apt so stop complaing

  • hell that look like the a cable company install!

  • In defense of the installer it depends on how may jobs DirecTV loaded on him that day. I am a good installer by that house would be hell to run a wire on, all that brick and stucco. DirecTV routs me 12 hours worth of work not including drive time, picky people, work order problems, etc... When you routed lke that houses like this make you want to quit.

  • People are always complainting about bad install jobs etc etc, that's what happens when you want everything for free ...

  • just look at your house.. how ELSE is he gonna get a cable from there to there?

  • thats funny seems more of a redneck job if you look yhe coax are diffrent must have been a nooby lol soory

  • i really hope that mexo got fired
