I understand from another commentator that John Williams was inspired by something Richard Strauss wrote when he penned this tune - I'm sure Richard would be very impressed by Mara's performance.

Quite different to Mareen's rendition. Nice arrangement. Very fine musicianship. And FANTASTIC vocal from the heart - no wonder Mara's the champion!!!

I am so excited to say that she is alive and well and secretly tucked away doing 'very' well. Still singing and sounding great. I hope hope to work with her. Hopefully I will do her justice. Check me out this summer on 'America's Got Talent'. If I win the show - I would love to be able to say that Mara was instrumental in giving me excellent advice. So, I will state it in the present and affirmative: THANKYOU MARA FOR YOUR GENEROSITY THIS LAST MONTH. GOD SPEED. DAVID

This performance STILL stands the test of time. I saw her do a show on Broadway called "Mail" quite a few years ago, and she was amazing!

I got to meet her in Palm Springs what a nice lady she shook everyones hand after the concert personally. I real class act!
