this vid makes me kinda sad.......I have been skating since 1996 and I am still very consumed with skating.. the style of dress/skating pops and wenning had back then in 99-02ish was my favorite style period. I can see how wenning doesn't want to let go of that and keeps dressing/skating the same stuff to recreate how he felt then...when friends grow apart it is really tough wether we want to admit it or not....I guess im saying that would be me....BW..we still love ya man.

it's also worth noting that wenning used to skate the banks all the time and his warm up trick was a kickflip down the nine. and wenning was kind of a master switch back 180s and was a love park local. and if nobody ever one upped anybody, then there would be no such thing as progression.

i agree with that, but wenning's manner of doing it wasn't very cool. it was more of "hey i'm gonna do it to shut him out" rather than "im gonna try it with him". just like those hometown heroes at skateparks who try and prove they're better than you by doing something you were trying.

@ghdosba i think theres a fine difference between hometown heroes and hometown show offs. I dont know wenning or anything, but theres always the ego freak kid at the park or local spot who will be landing everyone elses trick, and everyone will be like: yeah whatever man, youre good, and you have no style.
